I didn't mean one is not allowed to fight cans, of course Fedor also fought a lot of cans, i'm not a complete Fedor nutthugger, what I meant is you can't compare AS or Jones victories over fighters much smaller than them as something as great as Fedor's main victories. Fedor could have fought in LHW or even MW and still be a small fighter compared to other fighters in these classes, but instead of doing this, he decided to not hide himself in a weight class below his real weight class, unlike AS and Jones did to fight much smaller opponents than them.I really hate to do this but I'm going to Sherdog "logic" this. You act like fedor didn't fight cans...in fact, by my count, 8 of his pride fights were cans and a few more are fighters who were not that good in bigger organizations (out of only 15-16 or so total fights). You forget Silva laid out a much bigger Griffin and made him look like he didn't even belong in a cage. He also thoroughly outclassed Belfort who fought many times at 205. He beat Bonnar and Irvin at LHW as well...not the best competition but still. You act like he purposely sought out smaller guys.
Fedor also lost to smaller Dan Henderson. Which smaller fighters did Silva lose to???
Prove it.If the ones listed who fought before USADA actually fought under them...they'd pop too.
Prove it.
Prove it.
Ehh, I understand the whole humble perspective.
But a mature and logical person would be able to rank themselves truthfully from a non bias pov.
They can read their own stats.
That's not my problem cause I'm not the one arguing for it.Outside of that...the only way to "prove it" would be for me to acquire a blood sample of GSP from 2006. Explain to me how exactly I would do that.
No, Nog is definitely ahead of CroCop. I have him above Couture at HW, but Couture is higher p4p. It’s a toss up with Cain. You think Couture, Cain and Cro Cop should be ranked ahead of Nog? Nog and Werdum have far better resumes than them.
And do you really think Cejudo, Royce, BJ Penn, Cruz should be ranked ahead of Nog and Werdum? Nog and Werdum have like more than double the amount of quality wins as those guys. They were world champions as well.
Gotta take out roiders from number 1 and 3.
1) Fedor
2) GSP
Then rest in whatever order.

But I love Shogun and Crocop love. A bit odd not having Big Nog somewhere though with that logic.
Fedor during his run was the best fighter in the sport.Anyone who puts Fedor in a top list should not be considered seriously...
Fedor during his run was the best fighter in the sport.
Yes, the sport has evolved, but you can't compare era's that are too far detached.
His time ended then. He lost to Hendo at the end of a 3 fight losing skid.He lost against a MW grandpa by KO in the first round.
He was the best in Japan, at the very beginning of the sport, but compared to truly great fighters such as Jon Jones, he's simply a fraud.

Fedor peaked early and was shot in his early 30's.
Argument refused.
I don't care if he was out of prime at only 34 years old : you don't lose againt a 40 years old MW by KO in the first round.
It's like saying Usain Bolt should lose against a turtle because he's out of prime.
