I thought the first fight was VERY decisive.

he fought the same guy 3 times because he's max holloway and picked off two people that would have probably fought volk at the time otherwise. It's only a testament to how good holloway is, It detracts NOTHING from volk.

I often ponder how great DCs career would have been if he wasn't such good friends with Cain and fought his entire career at HW where he was at his best. He was killing himself making 205 to avoid fighting Cain and he very well could've went on a run that would have made him the goat HW.

If Jon Jones never existed D.C. very well might have went down as the goat.

Very much possible. Other than Jones, it's hard to imagine anyone who beats him. I'm a big Fedor fan but I dont think he would have beaten a peak DC.

Thing is, he's so tied to being second to Jon Jones, he doesn't get as much credit as he deserves.

DC in top-5 is ridiculous. He is in 9-12 range.

But DC himself pushed Khabib higher: he had him in top5 or top-3 and objective Khabib is in 8-12 range.
