- Dariush: As single top name and I think 8 guys outside the top10. unknowns like Holtzman, Cmancho, Dunham...

- Islam: Same. A single top name, some borderline top tens and many unknowns. Guys like Chris Wade and Kajan Johnson...who?

PS: I know Islam has had a tough time getting top fights, I don't blame him for his record, just saying in terms of looking at records to determine title fights his unfortunately lackluster list has to be a concern.

I don’t mind Islam getting a TS first. Islam is on a 9 fight winning streak after all. I think he should be ahead of Justin re the TS. Justin did get finished easily in his title fight and has only won one fight since then. Had Justin gone the distance and had a very close fight with Khabib, that might have been a different story. But he didn’t. I know Khabib’s not in the game anymore, but that should work negatively towards Islam. Justin can fight Beneil for the next TS. Beneil should be up there too (re TS).

Booking Islam vs Gaethje will either give Gaethje another win, or will give Islam a top 5 win. Thus whomever wins will get the TS.

I did not forget Daruish, however I did hear that he doesn't wanna fight Gaethje because they are friends. And that he didn't want to take the fight against Islam at UFC 267.

Whoever fights whom between Gaethje, Islam and Dariush, there's actually always only 1 winner: Ali Abdelazziz

I always thought Tony Ferguson was easy to hit, got dropped easy, and was gifted easy marks like Kevin Lee, Anthony Pettis, then Donald Cerrone.

Tony always was happy to be hit to give back more. It worked pretty well for a period of time. It is easy in hindsight to look at Tony's downfall, just like t-wood. But at the time Justin thought him was elite, he had the record and was ranked highly.

I don't see you making the same remarks about islams opponents even thought it would be easy to find his quality of opposition was less than what Tony faced in that 12 fight streak.

I’d be ok with this. Although Islam is already on a 9 fight win streak I can see an argument for having him fight an eliminator against Dariush or Gaethje. But I absolutely cannot see any justification for Gaethje getting a title shot

Gaethje has become a diva lately. I doubt he takes another fight before a title shot. If Poirier wins without too much damage I could see him making a quick turn around to fight Gaethje but probably would want more time for Islam. Oliviera is decently active but doesn't turn around quickly after a fight. Usually had 4-5 month camps.
