This is an ignorant thing to say for several reasons, but Khabib is just trolling Conor with it. Khabib trains with a lot of fighters, a lot of fighters tap to submissions to not break a bone or to pass out needlessly, it's smart. When Khabib makes fun of someone for tapping, he's also insulting his friends and they probably keep that to themselves since it isn't directed at them, but it's ignorant of Khabib to say because he's insulting even those around him. If you are a coward for tapping, I guess MMA is full of chickens and cowards.

Probably not since he didn't "tap like chicken" in a fight against him before he even got his arm under his chin.

GSP tapped to an armbar that, in hindsight he probably could have survived given how late in the round it was, he felt could result in a broken arm and to strikes that after doing everything in his power to try and scramble away from realized he was trapped and decided to avoid further unnecessary brain trauma.

Pretty different than tapping immediately when the worst case scenario is a potential cat nap.

Not to mention GSP is an all time great legend of the sport who Khabib actually respects and idolizes making it unlikely he'd go out of his way to trash him.

Georges tapped to strikes to a lw hobbit journeyman who was fighting a weight class above normal. It was by far the absolute worst performance by a title holding fighter ever in the history of the sport.

GSP was the one who tapped like a chicken. He didn't fall on his sword so to speak. He was getting pummeled and instead of fighting back he showed his true character.

Conor has a history of quitting before the fight is over. Conor didn’t even try to defend a neck crank. When Nate had Conor mounted he submitted before tapping by literally rolled over and presented Nate his neck. Again Conor didn’t even pretend to defend that choke either.

Tapping to strikes is a sign of intelligence, not choosing to damage your brain.
Tapping to a choke wich puts you to sleep for 5 seconds is much more of a chicken move, because there is much less damage if any to the brain.
It's the scared man's way out.
