Khabib has fought NO HIGH LEVEL WRESTLERS

Werdum was literally a world-class submission grappler.

There is no one like that at LW. No, do Bronx is not on that level.

But what exactly are you expecting Khabib to do?

He can only fight who is in front of him, and other than Tony...who specifically did he not fight that would have had a non-trivial chance to beat him?

It's not his fault that LW in the modern era is generally leading with strikers or "jack of all trades" types.
 
He fought every #1 contender they put in front of him except for T. Ferg and that was because the fight was cursed. It's not on him to cherry pick wrestlers in his division just to demonstrate his dominance. If he did that people would call him duck
 
What does this prove? He can't conjure up an elite LW wrestler. Prime Edgar (Now at BW!) would get dominated on strength alone.
 
honestly there isn't any grapplers at lightweight that could've had a chance against him. at ww, burns has the best credentials and he got ko'd by hooker at lightweight. usman also likely would be able to stuff khabib's takedowns but the fight would be a complete snoozefest.

The real problem is Khabib hasn’t fought a gymnast the level of GSP or a sumo wrestler the level of Machida since we are throwing out shit he hasn’t faced in his rather large sample size of 29 fights.

Poirier and RDA are good Black Belts, but not world championship level - and seeing as how Khabib is world championship level in Sambo that should've definitely happened. And Poirier even had him in trouble for a second with his BJJ.

Ferg or oliveira aren't better BJJ guys than RDA or Tavares for that matter. RDA is actually more decorated in BJJ than oliveira, having won gold at the world jiu jitsu championship, albeit at purple belt level.
 
Khabib is King of Lightweight Division in this period of time. He is not GOAT because he didnt fight in Welterweight.

Cormier and Fedor are far more beter fighters then Khabib. There are levels in this game. :)

In MMA which is the sport they are competing in, Tony and Charles are miles better than RDA and Tavares. Look at their records

Although the 155 division doesn't really have a lot of guys that can fight off their back.. Khabib fought against some of the best strikers in that division while arguably having bad striking defense he was still able to drop Conor who many believe might be one of the best strikers in the entire sport. OP is trying to make it sound as if the 155 division was weak and it wasn't.

I absolutely HATED that argument for Gathjie. It dosen't matter if he wrestled in the past. That guy hasn't used his wrestling in YEARS. So why all of the sudden would he decide to bring it out against Khabib in the biggest fight of his career.

You mention world class BJJ, yet RDA is the guy who got gold at the world brazilian jiu jitsu championships at purple belt. He also won other competitions as well. Oliveira hasn't done any such things, but yes, he's a beast in MMA. That said, Just look at how RDA manhandled prime pettis, then look at the ghost of pettis submitting oliveira.

I'm not mentioning Ferguson anymore because to me, he's worse than oliveira at BJJ.

The guy spent (before his fight with Khabib) 10 SECONDS on bottom position in his whole MMA career.
He talked about how he is shit from the bottom, got beat by Eddie and Poirier yet some people thought he could beat Khabib just because he matched up favorably against T.Ferg and UFC finally found a way to make T.Ferg lose.

Explain to me how RDA is not a world championship grappler? RDA won numerous BJJ tournaments including the Rio de Janeiro state championship and eventually the world championship as a blue belt & 3rd place at the National Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu championships.
