It feels like your head is getting unscrewed from your neck. It puts an enormous strain on your upper vertebrae and guys I've trained with have ruptured discs from trying wriggle out of deep cranks. Maia cranked Rick Story's neck so hard that blood shot out of his nose before he could even tap. Some BJJ schools don't even allow them in rolling because of the damage they can cause.
