Kevin Holland made $533,000 this year.

Had no idea his salary was that high honestly

didn't he just come from the contender series not long ago? shouldn't he be on that bread and water paycheck?

good for him anyways
He was for the first two fights, then got a decent bump, he made good money cause he won all of those and got a few bonuses as well, probably gets a bump in show money in his next fight that might be a FN main event considering the hype behind him.

He has that Habibi money though. Habibi probably paid him like 10K to train with him in the Gaethje fight, thats like 1 million in Kazakstan.
It's honestly amazing islam isn't broke he makes 22k/22k and fought 8x in 6 years. But being a grifter under khabib probably helps

That's not even including the 20k he got for the cancelled Woodley vs Edwards fight.

Put's into perspective inactive fighters like Leon and Francis who just sit and wait for title shots and big fights that never come. Fight as often as you can while you're healthy. You're not getting any younger.

Thanx Dana for this, the class action lawsuit is still pending though, they gonna go for those 4 billions.

He didn't get a bonus last night? That KO on the knees was one of the craziest things I've ever seen.

He did, said he’s probably gonna buy a lincoln continental, have an amazing Xmas and get his coaches good gifts.

Kevin Holland is really great.

He fights a LOT, he is hilarious, massive personality, he is super entertaining both in the cage and outside the cage, he talks a LOT during the fight and we get to hear it cos there's no crowd, he is exactly the sort of fighter Dana White loves, and I congratulate him on a very successful year.

Any card with Kevin Holland on it ....is a good card.

holland seems to understand that you should fight as much as possible when you are reaching your prime. waste your prime fighting once or twice a yr and you have to spend your late 30s getting your ass beat and eventually head to lower promotions for a lower paycheck to have much of the same

One of my pet peeves is how these fighters don't use social media. Ryan Garcia is a big name and great boxer, and he said he make more money on his social media than boxing. That's crazy, but it's the new reality.
You're already a public figure, just start a youtube channel and IG account. They could leverage there UFC career into sponsorship outside the cage.

That's a great point. NFL rookies, strongmen, bodybuilders, skateboarders, BMX riders, motocross riders.....a lot of these guys are making six figures from their YouTube channels alone. In niche sports the pay isn't super high for most save for a handful of guys at the very top so that ad revenue really adds up fast and they end up making more from social media just like you said.

That’s a myth. You get the same starting contract whether you are a direct hire or contender series guy

Yeah, people are confusing DWCS contracts with the TUF winners' contracts, which were terrible and made good fighters start avoiding TUF.

You know, half a million is way more than I make and its a great salary for 1 year. Props to him, but 5 fights in year should generate more than half a million imo. His pay would have been drastically less had he not had the year he did (obviously). 5 w's in 1 year is fantastic. He should be getting atleast 150K to show now but what do I know.
Nothing. He didn't beat anyone worth while untill now and did in big fashion so I'd assume he's going to get a nice bump in pay now

Hustle culture is rewarding and great until it isn't, and when it comes to dealing with UFC and Dana White, the "isn't" is never a far off possibility. Good for him though.

Edwards had his bout with Woodley cancelled due to covid and got covid.

Dana wants Ngannou to fight Stipe or Jones.

You're a financial and physical bum to both of them.

Not to mention talent-less nerds that react to content that isn't theirs or stream gaming. Some of these people can make a living doing this low hanging fruit type content.

Imagine having the smallest bit of UFC clout. You could do your own training vlogs, react content etc. So much money just waiting to made. I'm planning to start my own channel around tech. I already have a growing IG page with my art work. And I'm a 9-5 nobody. Someone like Jessy Jess claiming to be broke, just blows my mind. Save you money and leverage your fame ffs.

How can you not love this kid

Why do people always post this kind of thing and never take into account the expense of fighting or any taxes? Holland has to pay income tax and social security (self employment) tax and has to pay his manager and coaches. He doesn't end up with anywhere close to that amount of money when all is said and done.

I mean he's obviously not going broke if he fights that many times but it's not like he's putting it all in the bank and going to live off it the rest of his life.

Why do people always post this kind of thing and never take into account the expense of fighting or any taxes?

It’s impossible to calculate how much they are paying in taxes without a fighter personal information.

Their take home salary is public knowledge.

I don’t think people are forgetting they are just using the information that is available to them.
