Kettlebell workout progress

Sounds about right.
My first KB was a 30 pounder cast-iron and... I just didn't like the feel of it.
So I upgraded to competition KBs and they're vastly superior. Very glad I bought mine when I did before the prices became stupidly expensive.

Dude when the fuck did this happen? Is it related to the tariffs?

Strict pressed the 60kg once each arm. Definitely RPE 10. Worked up to it with sets of 5 each side of clean and press with 16kg, 32kg, 40kg, 44kg, and 48kg. 5 rep sets were a PR with the 48kg as well.

Week 2 - Workout 3
Repeated the hour-long 48-set 960-rep workout from Monday, after only one day of rest (Wed) instead of two (Sat&Sun).
Two issues - I had to take a break about 40 minutes in because I saw red & blue lights flashing through my basement window and there was a fire engine parked infront of my neighbors for some reason.
And I have two blisters on my right hand, so lets see how that complicates tomorrow's workout.

I'm tempted to buy one of these just to mess around with a 60-pound KB with a plastic handle.

They must be horrible to sling around in your hand with that plastic crease.

Week 2 - Workout 4
Did 40 minutes.
32 sets of 20 reps.
640 total reps.

Probably could have gone another 20, but I'm thinking the better decision is to let my blisters heal over the weekend.
I'm way ahead of schedule with the 10K.

Just added up the total reps for the last two weeks.... 5440 reps.
After this month is over I'm going to do something I have to admit I've been in fear of doing.... moving up to the 28kg/62lb kettlebell.
I bought it and have never used it.
But after now being able to do a full hour of swings with the 50 pounder, I've ran out of excuses not to.

In this era of overly expensive kettlebell prices, these are actually quite reasonable with free shipping.

Did 12 mins of clean and press, switching hands every 90 seconds, with 24kg. Only had about that much time before work and didn't get anything in throughout the day. I know the efficacy of kettlebells for cardio has been debated here but after doing that workout I feel great. More pep in my step, posture feels better, etc. I wanna work to 30 mins without putting the bell down, switching arms every 90 secs.

I own eight kettlebells, from 20 pounds to 72 pounds.

I wish this adjustable kettlebell was available when I first started buying them. Would have saved alot of money.

I like my adjustable kettlebells, but I would rather have bought a set of 16s,24s and 32kgs.
They take just a tiny bit too long to adjust in between sets.

Yup, that's one of the flaws, but typically KB workouts use one, or two, KBs of the same weight.

And it'd still be worth buying two of them and having them at different weights.

Pretty sure the reason why I started off with one or two KBs is because like most pieces of home-gym equipment, I had no idea if It'd be something I'd use just a few times or constantly.

Yeah, that's what I always thought, but I find these days I would rather the full set. I have an individual 16kg and 2x adjustables up to 32kg. I superset a lot of things these days and sometimes I have to load, heavier or lighter, because my bells limit me.

Definitely have been great, but I would like to eventually get a set.

Right at midnight I did the hour-long workout, but I added a set in-between the 20-minute workouts, increasing the total sets from 48 to 50.
Nice round number of 1000 reps, instead of 960.

One of my calluses came off after my Monday workout, so I waited 48 hours to do a 1000-rep workout so it could heal.
It did.
Did another 1000-rep workout this morning.
Three 1000-rep workouts a week can keep me ahead of schedule for the 10K challenge..

Pretty bizarre how light the 50-pound KB feels now.

It's absolutely time to move up a bell lol you're whipping multiple thousand rep workouts a week

Lbs confuse me with kettlebells. I just realized this is under a 24kg. 100% time to move up haha.
Time for the 32kg or 70lber for @GearSolidMetal

Understood, but I'm still going to complete the 10K with the 50-pounder, then move up to the 62-pounder.

Skipped the Friday workout to give my hand a bit more time to heal.

You'll dig swinging a heavier bell. After swinging the 60kg for a couple weeks now, everything feels lighter. The 109lbs sandbag, every kettlebell that's not 60kg, etc. it feels good to feel adaptations happening.

I do most of my swings with the 32s. No 1000 rep workouts for me, but I am usually do higher rep sets of 10. You will be surprised. My callouses got filed back down by my 32kg after I returned to 2 hand swings.
