Kettlebell workout progress

Id like to think I know a thing or two about kettlebells. Been using them for years. Granted I don't have any certs. But I can clean and press the 48kg for reps, snatch the 44kg for reps, and do all the frilly Turkish get up stuff with 32-40kg.

I'd be interested in learning what exactly is in those certification textbooks that haven't been covered by popular Fitness YouTubers.

Perhaps is mostly old or outdated info.
Perhaps Fitness YouTubers are just doing trendy exercises.

Kinda wish there was an accredited sports-scientist with respect and experience with kettlebells that would give his opinion.

BTW, 48kg for reps? That's quite impressive.

I've got a 60kg coming Friday. I'm excited. I've wanted a monster bell for a while.

Sheesh bro.
132 pounds.
With one hand you'll be able to pick up above your head a fat asian girl.

In fact, that's what you should name it - 'Fat Asian Girl.'

About to do 32 sets of 20 reps.
Wish me luck.
Light blisters formed under my calluses on my right hand after my last workout on Tuesday. Hope they healed all the way.

Did my 640 reps and.... if I do the same alternating-swings workout tomorrow my palms are going to be hamburger meat.

Going to be whipping these out tomorrow and doing one hand per set so my palm & fingerskin can have the weekend to recover.

I can see the calouses still developing, but the blisters are developing far more after three of four workouts of Week1.

Week 2 - Workout 1
I did something I didn't plan on doing.
1 hour workout. No extended breaks.
50 pound KB
20 single-handed alternate swings per set, usually done in 40 seconds. 35 second rest.
One set + rest = 1min 15 seconds.
48 total sets.
960 total reps.

If someone told me that within Week6 of me getting back into kettlebelling I would be able to do that, I'd say they were lying. This far surpasses what I was doing in my peak, like after the first 10K Challenge I did a year and a half ago.

And my hands aren't hamburger.
I found an old set of workout gloves that I used when I was doing double-handed swings, but thought they were giving me blisters. They were, but because I was gripping the KB in my palm.
They're fingerless, and the material is kinda slick... so the handle of the KB slinks down into my fingers naturally when transitioning from hand-to-hand at the top of my swings.

I'm actually excited for my next workout, immediately after I'm finished with the longest workout.

Yeah I clean and push pressed the 60kg today. Wasn't as bad as I thought. Strict press didn't budge but that's something I'll have to work on. Did some swings also. It's nice finally having a challenging weight.

Good lord sherbro. You make me feel weak af. What do you use for Turkish getups? Also how many reps per set? I’m 6’3 205 and in great shape but I feel like I need to turn in my Sherdog man card with the #s you put up.

The heaviest I've done on TGU is 40kg. I do have a 44kg bell as the next weight to try.

Only tried one each side. Exercises like TGU I don't really push for reps at a heavier weight, it's easy to slip out of a groove when you fatigue and suddenly you've got a back or shoulder tweak.
I’ve never tried single rep maxes although everything I do is with combat sports in mind so with Kettle’s I make sure to do at least 10 on each side with everything….i feel you though with it slipping especially with TGU I’d be way to fearful to try your type of weight I think I would blow something out for sure. Super impressive.
