Honestly their team is like the opposite of what a PL team should look like. Tiny, six pack laden turds that are too strong for their size. From who I've seen anyway, which has been like 3 of them.

lol, most of our guys are in the 181-220 lb. range. There are a few skinny guys, but most of our lifters are a little meatier. I admit we have no fatties though.
 
I personally alternate between both, but I wouldn't go as far down as a five-rep max for something like a lat pulldown because the technique is likely going to be pretty lousy. I think if you're going to do lat pulldowns that heavy, you might as well do pullups or even weighted pullups; I don't see much of a point to doing near-max lat pulldown reps.

If I had to choose one, I would of course choose pullups.


The reason I ask is because I don't really have a way of loading pullups. Thanks for the input man.
 
How the hell....That kid is strong as fuck and a twig at the same time. Its hilarious that sometimes people post on here saying 5'8" - 148lbs and everyone goes into a frenzy about eating more but this kid is that size/wt and strong as hell. Great vid.

I was OK with today's deadlifting--my max attempt was 580 at the top, 480 at the bottom--but not thrilled with it.

I'm going out to dinner with this girl I met in December--this is the one that decided all of a sudden to stop responding to me when I got back from winter break. We ran into each other at the gym of all places, and a week later we hashed things out. I guess this is my first second date of the semester, so at least I'm making progress. Lucky for me, I popped all the capillaries in my face and neck again deadlifting, so I'll get to explain why I suddenly have brown freckles.

Eating more is an easy fix, but most of the time, eating isn't the only answer.

lol, it has been happening to me a lot lately. It's not terribly unusual.

For the reverse bands, I was probably getting around 110 lbs. at the bottom and 40 lbs. at the top. That explains why I failed my third rep at 325 despite moving pretty fast--I really liked these as a lockout exercise because the blue bands deload so quickly.

hey, it beats the gym music that was probably playing in the background! How do you add music to your videos?
 
Are you training in RI? If so, what gym is that? I wasn't aware that we had quality gyms.

I use the free version of powerdirector 7, and I just upload it as a sound file and turn off the recorded sound. It's really easy.

Nope. Here, I'm in Iowa--my family's in RI and I visit from time to time. There are very few quality gyms in Rhode Island, but there is one private powerlifting gym out there. Do you live in RI?
