And yep, those are wrestling shoes--I really like them for deadlifting because of the flat sole. You're close to the ground, but you've got a bit more material to use for stability than just wearing a deadlift slipper.

About my weight: so, my weight cut has all of a sudden gone much better than expected--distilled water and some caffeine got my body really flushing out water, and I dropped a couple of pounds yesterday. I was 155.6 before bed, and that was a good couple pounds lighter than the previous night. I drank through the night and kept my weight at around 154, then finished my distilled water and had a cup of coffee at about 6 to put me up at 156.5. I also had my last breakfast (some eggs) at this time. I'm almost exactly 24 hours out now, and I've cut off water; I'm weighing 153.9 on our scale at the moment. Our scale is usually between a half-pound and a full pound high, so I'll be checking my weight on a more accurate scale later in the morning/early in the afternoon. My guess is I'll be going to bed in the very low 150s tonight, with the possibility of waking up on weight in the morning. If I lose more weight than expected, I'll eat a little to keep myself near 148.

I used distilled water prepping for that first weight cut and it was hugely beneficial. I think I got the idea from watching a Nick Diaz video. LOL. I woke up at like 167.5 while not being remotely as disciplined as you. You'll be training at 170 in no time. Hhahahahaha

I just assumed that's what you were already doing.

Many thanks, brahs. I weighed in at 146.5 and am in the process of putting my weight back down. I'm probably up ten pounds right now, and I haven't had to pee yet (it's been almost five hours), which means I'm holding water well. The goal's 160+ by met time tomorrow.
