I threw the final number on there for each horse for these remaining races at Mahoning Valley today if you are playing straight bets on a horse and want some kind of guide where the value lies on the tote if watching the odds. I should have done it earlier too. My bad for that.

That was a tough one. I didn't think it was all bad at first since we got the exacta. But that was until I watched the replay. That's about as bad a beat as it gets, and it probably would have paid 250/1 at the least. Maybe even more than 300/1.

You're dead on as usual, Shark. It paid about 310/1. Between just missing that and being a few seconds too late getting the bets in yesterday for the one that did hit, ouch.

Yeah, it sucks, T. But you know what the positives with all these bad beats are? We're finding the opportunities to nail them with frequency and we will. It's gonna happen. Also, with the amount of bad luck we've had this past week we should all be broke by now. Yet we're doing okay as far as the bottom line goes even with all these bad beats. Imagine what happens when luck isn't against us.

I have another tweak I've been thinking about too that I think you'll like. It's regarding layoffs. I haven't put it into practice yet, though, besides a little bit of back tracking I did this morning between races. I'll run it by you later before passing it on to T.

I Solfatara well ahead of the others, but the early speed made it pretty close for Arcelor and I started to really have trouble picking between the two. The number still had Solfara ahead but not by much, so took him instead, barely.

I went back and forth on it a couple of times, tho, b/c you mentioned how important early speed was on Gulfstream and Arcelor was showing a ton of early speed. Had a significant layoff tho, which bothered me and Solfatara ran a bullet in her last workout, so that and the number made me edge her. Too bad she couldn't get out of the gate clean to even give us a shot, tho.

Either way the numbers are performing well for us. We're getting consistent performances from the formula which is always a good thing.

I just asked you that question in private a little while ago because I'm looking at some Delta Downs races today, and I almost forgot to double the value of early speed there since that track also has that same ++ for E types. I didn't notice it til after I did the first 7 horses, and I had to go back and redo them.

I'll get to the others races in a bit, but with these 3 I'm probably just going to make some small $2 win bets on the best value each race. Or key the top horse in a couple of small exactas. Playing these really small regardless since these numbers are including the latest tweak we made. For science as @t6p would say.
