Kenny Florian "3 or 4 girls turned down the Cyborg fight including one of R3, Tate or Holm' *UPDATED

Well, its not Miesha. Can't fight the 135 champion outside of 135

Its more likely Holly was offered the fight. I dont blame her for not taking it just yet. Might be good to see if Cyborg makes weight and passes her tests before fighting her.

Maybe it was Holly since she didn't want to risk losing 2 in a row.....no way it was Ronda because you know the baldfather would not make that fight happen, especially after she got stomped by Holly only to get stomped by Cyborg.
Even though I don't think the fight ever makes sense for Ronda unless Cyborg can bring it to her at 135 and she's out of money-fights, I do agree that it would be unlikely the offer was ever made to be rejected. And that it would be leaked as Dana is going to bend over backwards to try to protect Ronda after his stunt backfired replacing Tate with Holly.

You can bet this is some typical Dana sleazy attempt to hurt the reputation and therefore the leverage of either Holly or Tate. It won't be long before we know who would be my guess.

Why do you say that? Have you heard the name cecilia braekhus before?

For one, she already said she'd fight her at 140. Miesha Tate also said she would fight her at 140. Ronda Rousey specifically said she would not. So, that's what makes me say that.

I'm guessing Ronda is the one that turned it down, Miesha and Holly have both made comments about being interested in fighting Cyborg.

What was your point with bringing up the Holly fights at 135 when that's also true of Tate and Ronda?

That's the same amount of sense it makes to me as going straight to a rematch with Holm after getting wrecked.

Holly fights in the 135 pound division, Cyborg doesn't. Also, the rematch between Holly and Ronda would have been the biggest fight in mma history commercially so yes, it makes all the sense in the world.

It would make zero sense to offer the fight to Ronda, it has already been stated that she will be out until the end of the year and she has stated that she is going to go up in weight to fight Cyborg when there isn't a 145 pound division in the UFC. Dana said that Ronda is going to fight Miesha next so out of those three the only logical one that would have been offered the fight and turned it down would be Holly. Not hard to figure out.

It cant be Honda. UFC isnt putting their golden girl up against Cyborg when theyre tryna build her back up. Theyve hid Honda from Cyborg for a long time why would they try to book that now?

Between Holly and Miesha....both have said theyd face her at a catchweight i think. I think Holly turned it down. UFC wouldnt give Cyborg an immediate title shot against Miesha and Holly prolly doesnt wanna fight anyone but Miesha or Honda right now.
My thoughts exactly. Although, I don't think she's afraid, it just isn't a smart business move after losing the title. It's also possible they offered the fight to Tate since the title wouldn't be on the line and she could always defend against Ronda even after a loss. Will be interesting to see if the UFC gives Cyborg more push if she receives a good fan reaction. We won't have to wait too long to find out.

lol people automatically believe Kenny and thinks its Ronda without any proof...

So Kenny Florian was on the latest Fighter and The Kid podcast with Brendan Schaub.

They were talking about the Cyborg signing and fighting at 198 and Schaub started breaking down how he thought Ronda, Holly and Miesha would so against her.

Florian said its tough finding anyone to fight Cyborg and one of the girls Schaub had just mentioned and 3 others had already turned down the fight before Leslie Smith stepped up, he wouldn't reveal who though.

That is too bad because I would love to know who those girls were .. I especially want to know if this fight was ever offered to Germaine de Randamie.

My guess is it's Florian just bullshitting to hype Cyborg. The UFC wouldn't sacrifice one of them for Cyborg's tuneup match. Especially not Tate or Ronda and Holm doesn't strike me as someone to turn down a fight.

No reason for all three to fight at catchweight in Brazil.
