So Kenny Florian was on the latest Fighter and The Kid podcast with Brendan Schaub.

They were talking about the Cyborg signing and fighting at 198 and Schaub started breaking down how he thought Ronda, Holly and Miesha would so against her.

Florian said its tough finding anyone to fight Cyborg and one of the girls Schaub had just mentioned and 3 others had already turned down the fight before Leslie Smith stepped up, he wouldn't reveal who though.

Anyways... My guess is that it HAS to be Holm. No chance the UFC risks their next Ronda payday again after Tate-Holm. They are going to make Tate-Rousey 3 next for sure.

Maybe it was Holly since she didn't want to risk losing 2 in a row.....no way it was Ronda because you know the baldfather would not make that fight happen, especially after she got stomped by Holly only to get stomped by Cyborg.

It cant be Honda. UFC isnt putting their golden girl up against Cyborg when theyre tryna build her back up. Theyve hid Honda from Cyborg for a long time why would they try to book that now?

Between Holly and Miesha....both have said theyd face her at a catchweight i think. I think Holly turned it down. UFC wouldnt give Cyborg an immediate title shot against Miesha without ever having made 135lbs and Holly prolly doesnt wanna fight anyone but Miesha or Honda right now.

Logically speaking, there's no way in hell that this fight is even OFFERED to either Tate or Rousey:

1) The UFC would NEVER give Juicetino an instant Title Shot against Tate, in her UFC debut, at catchweight.

2) Rousey wouldn't be back until November, after her filming schedule wraps up. From now until then, she's not available for anyone.

3) Tate vs. Rousey III is already announced to happen as soon as Rousey returns, why would they throw a wrench in that multi-million dollars gearbox now?

If Kenny only mention Holm, then it might make sense, but he ruined the entire schtick by throwing everything at the wall to see if anything stuck.

That means the only people in this thread who are gullible enough to instantly buy into this "news leak" at face value are likely to be the usual Rousey-haters, who have proven time and again that they would believe in anything that might give them another chance to talk shit, even if it makes no sense whatsoever.


News update 3/31/2016:

Holly Holm's camp turned down Cris 'Cyborg' fight, wants Miesha Tate rematch

According to Holm's manager Lenny Fresquez via the Albuquerque Journal, he turned down the bout with "Cyborg" on her behalf when the UFC came calling to ask for her to accept the fight, which was set to take place on May 14 in Curitiba, Brazil.

"We were not interested in that right now," Fresquez said about the fight with "Cyborg" at UFC 198. "(Holm) just wants to fight Miesha."

With Holm turning down the fight with "Cyborg", the UFC ultimately went with Leslie Smith as her opponent at UFC 198 in Brazil.
