Katsidis v Casamayor

Great fight!

Kinda dissappointing. I am a fan of Katsidis and never really liked Casamayor.

Katsidis will always be exciting but never gonna be a great boxer.

Pair him up with another brawler so we can get another Gatti vs. Ward.

Juan Diaz would be a perfect opponent.
 
Iamfight freak was right in that casamayor stops Katsidis, but not in the way he predicted. He didn't stop him on cuts nor did he outbox katsidis consistently. He cold cocked him and that was the story. I knew Katsidis chin is not so hot and Casamayor had the power to KO Katsidis. I just didn't expect Katsidis to get blasted like the way he did.

*Besides a few low blows and coming in with the head a few times, Casamayor didn't foul TOO MUCH. He still Casamayor, but we saw Casamayor light tonight.
 
Well, i wasn't pointing out the Thread, so much as my own prediction.

I wonder why Katsidis stopped going to the body around the 7th round. Casa was able to get back into a rhythm at that point.

Casa proved in the first that Katsidis was gonna have to be careful in launching his rights. Katsidis seemed to forget about that going into the 9th. I wonder if he was frustrated by the previous 2 rounds and just decided to go for broke in the 9th and try to decide the fight then and there. He got really careless and paid the price.
 
as far as predictions go...how silly has the past month or so been to this division...not exactly how i would have thought it would have looked at the beginning of the year. The good thing is there are still i think at least plenty of fights that could be made, but i didnt think it would go this way. Pretty good stuff from casamayor tonight.
 
Lately we have been treated by some great and memorable boxing matches and this fits to that category.

Great comeback by Katsidis after that devastating round 1 and it sure looked like he was going to get the win but then out of nowhere he got too reckless and Casamayor dropped him and finished him after that.

Boxing at it's finest.

Damm, great comeback, but his defence cost him at the end.
 
This was definitely a sweet night of boxing.

The Librado Andrade (?) fight was very good, and highly entertaining, and a main event that did not fail to deliver.
Plenty of drama in the ring tonight, and I loved every minute of it.

I just wish Joel wouldn't do post-fight interviews, for self evident reasons.
 
casamayor really punched his ticket to the hof, masterful performance; shows excellent boxing skills/ring generalship and toughness, mental/physical.

really beat a young determined and dominating young fighter; he is a little rough round the edges, but he was good and tough enough to beat anyone in the div. He just won't beat campbell/casamayor; but he is young enough to wait them out.
