Crime Kareem Hunt released from KC Chiefs for video

Do you agree Hunt should lose his job, when the police found he broke no law?

Drunk on coffee, and fantasy football wins.

Glad I don't own any hunt in my pay leagues.

I am actually curious about something you said earlier. You said you thought the chick was more like the guy who got shot in Texas, because the guy with the gun, and Hunt had superior force at their disposal.

Do you believe that people with inferior force have a right to act however they want, without repercussion?
Fuck no I don't, and I never ever advised anyone behave that way. Say a stupid kid keeps kicking you in the shins at the store, so you warn him a couple times you're going to fuck him up if he continues. Then when he doesn't believe you, you smash him with no mercy. Was the kid wrong? Absolutely! Did you have other options for handling it? Definitely.

This dude and the guy in Texas aren't comparable, they both overreacted but the shooting was way worse than this. Kareem went over the line by pushing and kicking her, but he didn't pull a Ray Rice or worse. The guy in Texas shot a man to death over a dumpster in an alley.

I can totally see that chick screaming, "hit me, I dare you", at him. In my state that technically is mutual combat, and if you had the means to fight the police and prosecutor interpretation of it, you would win.
You can see it, but there's no evidence she ever said anything like that. Are you sure you're not drunk?

If he just shoved her away and then went about his business it would not be a problem, but then he goes into psycho mode and starts pushing people down and kicks the woman while she is lying on the ground. He was hardly an innocent victim in that incident.

Yeah, I am very different then you on this. I am generally a nice guy. I basically live by the golden rule, with a weird caveat to the golden rule.

Do unto others, as you would have done to you, unless what was done to you, was done with intent to harm, then respond ten times fold.

I don't believe in proportionate response in conflict. I believe in overwhelming force. Proportionate response is a good way to go about getting blind sided, because you didn't deal with the threat.

Now, a kid is different, a small child is literally incapable of causing deadly harm. A unarmed man, or a potentially armed women, is not the same. They pose a clear and present danger if in conflict.

Cool, but if you're going to have that mindset then I expect you to be responsible and not go around getting in to petty arguments with people you don't know. Don't bring a gun out to a dumpster dispute, don't shove a girl who said a mean word, etc.

Which apparently I need to also state that I don't want you to go around picking petty fights with strangers even if you don't intend to give back 10 times whatever they could dish out.

You might get away with fighting a foolish drunk female for running her mouth, but circumstances are very different for a football star playing in a league that has a lot of media attention and a serious problem with its players beating women.

Fair enough. It's all shades of grey really.

They are. This is reality.

It is also reality that cutting Hunt hurts Hunt in zero ways, as he will be signed by another team as soon as his suspension is over, and this really only hurts Chiefs fans, and protects the organization from media attacks.

Ran to the waiver wire for Ware before I posted this. 3rd shift bit me. Sleeping through the news, and missed the pick up.
Tough miss! In one league I had $2 of faab left so no way I grab him. Sucks!!

He wasn't charged, so that point is moot.

This is about PR. After the infamous elevator vid, ain't nobody getting away with that kind of shit in the NFL.

Shit, I wonder if Leveon bell would have hit a chick a few years ago, if he knew it would get him out of being franchised year after year.

You say this, but imagine if this was Mahomes, and he did just flatten a chick. Be real, no one is cutting the potential goat QB in his second year.

Scumbags getting a pass because they can play a sport is what is turning me off from pro-sports more and more. It is rather interesting that Kaepernick will never play again for merely getting on his knees while there are players involved in all kinds of criminal behaviour from physical violence to running dog fighting rings (didn't Ray Lewis get away with murder?) being welcomed back into the league. It seems like a lot of awful people play pro-sports.

Yeah they would.

He didn't though, so that's not really an argument.

It doesn't bother me in sports because it is inconsequential.

This happens in politics all the time. Kissinger is a fucking war criminal, and he advises everyone. That bugs me.

You make a good point. I'm getting bent out of shape over retarded meatheads playing pro-sports when the real problem is the demented psychopaths running things.

Yeah they would.

He didn't though, so that's not really an argument.

I truly doubt it.

I think they do their stupid bean counter cost/benefit analysis, and if they did it for Mahomes, short of rape or murder the benefit outweighs the cost.
