As someone that is bi-racial, it isn't that simple. You don't really have a choice of how people see and treat you. People often decide what you are regardless of what you think.

As someone who is also bi-racial, I understand I have no control how others see me and what their opinion might be of me based on how I look. That wasn't part of the point I was making. It was 100% about how we as a bi-racial person act and portray ourselves. It was based on things we CAN control.

Obama was the first black president even though he was raised with his white mother. Whatever you look like is usually how people treat you, and that has an effect on how you act yourself. When you're a minority, you don't have a lot of say in the matter. I've no doubt that Kamala was seen as, and treated as a black female throughout her life. Most people mixed with any amount of black usually are.

When you're bi-racial, you're bi-racial. Saying he was the first bi-racial president would seem more appropriate, but less politically convenient and is yet another example of how a bi-racial person plays a card to their advantage. There are thousands of blacks in Oklahoma mixed with various Indian tribes. They're treated as members of their respective tribes.

There's always a bit of push and pull/code-switching when you're a product of different cultures and you're interacting with them. It's not fake, "playing it up", or pulling a card, both of those are part of you.

It's most definitely playing it up in some aspects. We both know it happens.

That being said, it is possible for biracial people to be inauthentic and "play a card" to a degree. For instance, I know when someone is used to saying the N word (with an a ) and when someone is putting on a show. I think Kamala has a bit of a fake politician persona at times, but no more than any other politician, and not one that is specifically about race.

Her entire persona is fake. We'll just have to agree to disagree about why it's fake and how often she attempts to play her card.

It's natural to want to blend into a group that you are actually part of, and it's not even really a conscious action. It's not the same as Trump trying to appeal to evangelicals because there's no part of that in him.

Blending into a group is one thing, flipping a switch based on the audience at the time is a conscious choice to pander to your audience. Political games be it racial, religious, etc. are easily compared and are played the exact same way.

If it's not a shoop, posting it repeatedly to mock a person's physical appearance portrays a poster interacting from a place of insecurity and weakness.

I would say that is a vote of approval for going with Harris.
