Elections Kamala Harris for POTUS

Whilst Trumps actions are dangerous the sad reality is theres a lot of truth in what he said. The Dems avoided primary's this time with Biden as an incumbent and if their replacement for him wins it will be another 8 years before we get them, that's a 12 year gap between the public getting any kind of say.

I think that tends to be the way US politics is run, the Republicans spend much of their effort trying to manipulate presidential election, the Dems spend much of their effort trying to manipulate their own primary's to avoid a genuine progressive winning who might threaten the interests of their backers.
I think you'll find that "the public" very much has a say.. . it's called an election.

So voters literally get no vote for their candidate? Because democracy is so important?
You do know the DNC hasn't happened yet right?

You do know that the delegates at said convention are selected , there just won't be any Pledged Delegates.

And then, of course there is the election itself in November.

She might not be it, but she's also facing an extremely flawed candidate.

Kamala could galvanize women and Blacks and have them come out in big numbers. It's hard to realize in a cagefighting forum like this but the Trump-Vance is gonna repel a lot women.

No matter what, it's gonna be super tight is all I'm saying.

The choice of candidate they get to vote for is obviously a massive part of a democracy, indeed I would say the most important part of it..As it is they get to vote for either Trump or the candidate the Dem officials pick for them to vote for.

I would argue the main reason we've seen Trump have the sucess he has is that the Dem's have successfully suppressed any kind of progressive canidate on their side, your only choice is an establishment centralist which means the right get the anti establishment vote.

The main reasons why there are no truly progressive candidate is because how campaigns are funded, there is from the get-go heavy bias toward conservatism due to how the electoral college is setup, and state s are all or nothing so boomers have an excessive a influence and wash out a lot of liberal votes by younger voters, which wouldn't happen in a truly representative democracy.

Trump is getting older, slower, and making less and less sense when he goes off teleprompter. Comparing his speeches now to when he was first elected is wild.

Kamala is younger and sharper/quicker. It could just as easily show Trump for the old man he is by simple comparison
You know what the incredible part of this is? If biden doesnt do the early debate and does it in september. The dems would be stuck with a guy that just crashed and burned. Amazing. Now republicans have the old guy. I dont expect there to be a debate at all now.

If a black woman beats Trump, the meltdown from all the right wing incels is going to be fucking EPIC.
N-words will be thrown around, so many Sherdog bans! All those shitty 2023 accounts that suddenly appeared at once.. gone! Popcorn galore

Simple request for stats like I've asked for how many times now? Literally how many times have you ducked this?

This may or may not be surprising, but nobody is publishing this data. This is in large part because there are no clear definitions.
CHDS kept a database, but they apparently stopped adding data after Uvalde. Also, their database included things like pellet guns ... pumping numbers to try and make things look worse than they are.

Examples - Does "School" include colleges? Do we include incidents at 2 AM on a weekend? What constitutes "mass shooting"?

Also, I'm not clear what data is wanted ... number of students killed? Total deaths? Number of shootings regardless of any deaths? Do sporting events and arguments count? How far back?

For overall reference, there have been a total of 115 shootings (including those with zero deaths) at schools of all sorts (including colleges) of the nature we think of them as popularized by the media in 58 years of data.

Sticking with the FBI's usual definition of "4+" for "Mass Shooting" (not necessarily 4 dead), and looking at post-covid, I can find this:

2021: Ethan Crumbley killed 4 students at Oxford High School in November.

2022: Uvalde was BY FAR the deadliest incident, with Salvador Ramos killing 21 people (19 kids, 2 teachers). Ramos killed more students than all school "mass shootings" in 2023 combined all by himself. In fact, this was the 2nd deadliest school shooting in US history. The last shooter before him, and after Ethan, was Raymond Spencer, he was also Hispanic.

2023 had a total of 3 incidents, with the deadliest mass school shooting committed by Audrey Hale, a woman (Covenant School). She killed 6 people, 3 kids and 3 adults. 7th deadliest ever. (Everyone remembers, this is the one where her manifesto can not be released because ... well, I have no idea how an investigation can be ongoing this long, but apparently it is. Or so it is claimed.)

Huguenot High School had 7 people killed at a graduation ceremony. The killers were black males.

Westinghouse Academy had 4 shot (0 dead). A black male shooter.

I can start gathering data on 2024, but I don't think this list is shaping up the way you imagined it would ...

6 incidents
1 White Male
1 White Female
2 Hispanic Male
2 Black Male

Fun fact: Donald donated to Kamala campaigns twice when he was a private citizen.

He is a fan!

So that makes Donald a Democrat by our Thomas Matthew Crooks theory, right?
