Elections Kamala Harris for POTUS

I get that there are a lot of logistics involved, money from donors...plenty of moving parts.

But your ticket is one I cannot vote for. I'm on the right, but I'd say somewhat center right and I could absolutely find myself voting for a ticket with Kelly at the top. But not one with Harris there and him as VP.

Now, how many out there are like me? Maybe not enough that would make a swap worth the risk. And maybe Kelly should be saved for a full campaign in 2028 (he's gonna be 64 then...not TOO old but not a young guy and the national vibe now of course is "stop running old white dudes").
Well honestly I wouldn’t have expected you to no matter what—do you typically switch parties depending on the candidate? My dad was like that. I am not lol. I voted for Perot my first presidential election, and then Dem every election since.
I am hopeful that if Kamala reign in her annoying-ness a bit (and in her defense I thought she did a good job of that during her remarks about the assassination attempt) and he we have someone like Kelly that appeals to moderates, I think it’s possible.

But ultimately, I agree that she is not who I’d want on top of the ticket.

Nah. America isn’t ready for a gay president. It would be an overwhelming overkill in hard blue areas and a clear loss in purple states. Red states would be a washout.

You guys broke your brain on a black guy president ffs.
The idea of blue states voting for a black woman will already be hard enough but adding a gay man to the ticket seems impossible.

Didnt Harris get the least amount of votes in the primaries in 2020 or close to it?
That was Elizabeth Warren, she even lost her home state ffs - Trump ruined her, her taking that dna test was one of the biggest political blunders I’ve ever witnessed

An endorsement isn’t a nomination. I think she probably debates circles around Trump, but her history as a prosecutor is going to be hard for the left to swallow
She was awful in the 2020 debates
Remember the “I was that little black girl Joe”
Cringe worthy

Newsom/Harris is a no go, because then they are both from California, and so they can't BOTH get the CA electoral college votes.

ALTHOUGH.... Newsome-Pres/ Harris staying @ vice would be fine, it's just not possible logistically.
That’s crazy
That’s racist and sexist - picking a white man over a black woman in THAT party would be blasphemous
Harris - Newsome is the only way that works

Well...Trump is kind of a unique candidate haha. I truly think he's a narcissist, and that's dangerous. I feel like I've typed this a lot of times, but a true narcissist doesn't feel themselves capable of making a wrong decision. I need the POTUS to be someone who gives the appropriate amount of thought to global, generation altering decisions. If someone thinks they cannot be wrong, why would they waste time giving real thought to these issues?
So in short...no I don't generally switch from party to party each election. I've voted Dem a smattering of times but mostly Rep. But I cannot in good conscience vote for Trump OR Harris.

So...looking like me "wasting" my vote this time with a write in. But I'll sleep at night and won't compromise who I am and that's good enough.

Obama calls for open convention!

The fix is in.

He owes Clinton for not getting her the win in 2016. She wants it and she is at the top shelf of the dems power structure.
He has NOT endorsed Harris and neither has Pelosi- it’s a problem
They both made statements today and want an open convention
That’s a problem for Harris

Agreed they can’t pick a white male over a woman of color for dem candidate.

Also keep in mind I don’t think they’re done with Trump. Another assassination attempt, a mysterious and sudden heart attack due to stress, bad diet and obesity. No way the powers that be allow him back in the White House.
IMO.

Wisconsin: does not allow withdrawal from the ballot for any reason besides death.
Nevada: no changes can be made after 5 p.m. on the fourth Friday in June of an election year or 'a nominee dies or is insane It’s past June & Biden is alive
They don’t need all of the delegates, just a majority

As such, this is the third time in three presidential elections that Democratic Party elites have subverted democracy to choose a presidential candidate.

The first time this occurred was in 2016 when the Democratic National Committee manipulated money and process to help Hillary Clinton defeat Bernie Sanders.

The second time was in 2020, when Party elites pushed out Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar so Elizabeth Warren could split the progressive vote with Sanders, creating a path to victory for Biden.

This year, Biden and the DNC prevented a competitive open primary, and now Biden is deciding who will be the nominee for Democrats. Harris was deeply unpopular with Democratic voters when she ran in the 2020 primary, leading her to drop out after her polling plummeted to the single digits.

You forgot about 1952 - look it up
It cost them the election

I think the debate put doubts about Biden front and center. I mean, we could just say “fuck off, we don’t care” like the Right does when Trump cheats on his wife with a porn star, gets convicted of felonies, runs fake elector schemes, or siphons off political donations to pay his personal legal fees, or any number of things. They’ve made up their minds long ago that they DGAF what he does. Libs aren’t really wired that way though.

We’ll see. I mean, I’m not in denial about how things are at the moment, but people’s attention span lasts 5 seconds. There’s plenty of time to put together a good ticket, get some good policies out there, schedule debates and (hopefully) perform well.
Now, I don’t have a ton of faith in the Dems’ ability to do that correctly, they always seem to end up in shambles.

“Arent wired that way.” I highly suggest you look into Bill Clinton’s history with Fahmy Malak and the still “unsolved” Boys on the Tracks murders.
