Elections Kamala Harris for POTUS

Doesn't matter. There's no Democrat that didn't like her in 2020 saying "She sucks and is uninspiring... so I'm voting Trump."

You gotta look at it from the point of view of the moderates, the undecided, the uninformed, because they're the ones that decide elections. Yeah, she's way less charismatic than prime Biden... but she's also way more coherent, alive, and energetic than current Biden.

Plus, she's not nearly as unlikable as Hillary.

She's not nearly unlikely as Hillary? Have you seen her cackle like a witch? She's definitely gonna trigger some people.

Harris will win handily because Republicans never built up a platform and instead went all in on tying Hunter Biden to corruption and portraying Biden as old. All of that is now out the window, and Harris will get a honeymoon boost that alternative candidates initially receive due to being "different," much like Trump got in 2016. Harris will come in as a mixed minority woman who is sharp and doesn't suffer fools. She just has to rally the Democratic base to show up at the polls to vote, and they win.

Trump will continue to get smeared by Epstein and various other issues that make him look like a total asshole, which won't be hard because he is one. There isn't anything that the country is reaching for as an alternative to him anymore because he messed up his first term with grift and incompetence. No one believes he can fix anything; instead, it's just "hate on libs and put in more conservative judges."

I strongly suspect that the decision to swap out candidates was made a while back before the debates, and Joe, with his mouth open during the debate, was set up for that. I think the decision was maybe made a year or two ago, and Biden didn't want to run again. Remember that Biden did not initially want to run for president and was prodded into it. He is now older, and both Democrats and Republicans have been making a big deal about either candidate's age — "They are both way too old." Instead of the DNC trying to make Biden look good, party members were saying the same thing. I think when they did that, they knew the swap might happen and knew Trump would have too large of an ego to ever step down to avoid questions about his age. This trap might have even been set with "women, man, camera, TV" in that question. Trump's age or condition would, by his nature, force him to attack Biden as being "old or senile" as an act of deflection, which wouldn't work against a younger candidate. I think Trump got boxed into a bad position by the DNC pivoting around him and knowing how he would react to being questioned as to being "too dumb" and "too old". Now Trump is up against a candidate that is younger, and smarter than him by miles and only will make him look "very old and senile." Trump has been throwing "old and senile" stones while living in a glass house for the last eight years. Trump would never step down for a better GOP candidate so everything used against the Trump and ultimately the GOP is still in play.

OMFG this is hilarious, you really believe what you typed?

Yes. The election will be about swaying maybe a 25% minority that likely wasn't impressed by either Biden or Trump. Harris is everything that is Biden and Trump are not to those voters. The other 75% percent of voters already picked their party and candidate so there was no reason to try to appeal to them. People are always attracted to new candidates. Jesus could never perform miracles in Nazareth because there he was "only the son of a carpenter."

You listed it as a reason to hate Vance
You asked why people hated him in this thread, I spoke as to why people in the thread did. Do you like him for those reasons?

Obama didn’t endorse Harris

They’re looking to create a viral meme to make up for the fact that people are done with democrats being in charge for awhile. They don’t see it in Harris. They’ll try to find somebody more generic first…but ultimately they’ll have no choice but to go with Kamala considering the low national profiles of the “better” candidates.

You really think Trump is winning because of Hunter Biden?

so democrats(particularly Kamala) are safe on immigration, inflation, foreign policy, crime, the fact that the majority of Americans thought things were better when Trump was President?

Biden was a bumbling fool in 2020. Him being even more of a bumbling fool in 2024 was just one strike against the democrats chances in November.

Hunter Biden didn’t figure into it since ultimately most people didn’t agree that the Biden family is corrupt..though I think they are, Hunter Biden isn’t responsible for any advantage Trump holds over Biden and democrats.

Maybe it’s time to admit that people want Trump back

Harris will be so far out of her depth if she chooses to debate Trump. I doubt they'd let her try after watching Biden get mouthfucked by Trump in the last debate.

Harris and a middle ground democrat would be ideal. But, I’m unsure if Harris would sway middling voters more than Biden did.Pistol Pete and Harris remaining as VP would be great too.
Like who? Who is considered middle ground with the far left controlling the party right now?

Yeah, for sure.
It’s just kind of funny. The Right smeared Biden as senile and incapable, and kept hammering that point that our candidate couldn’t run the country.
We actually looked at it and said: “Goddamn, you might be right. We’ll get someone else.”

And they cry and act like we shouldn’t and couldn’t do that. We can, we think it’s best for the country—and the Republicans seem to agree on that wouldn’t they, considering everything they said about Biden?

Damn is that how it really went?

Seems like there was a lot of knob polishing from the media and his supporters for years that accused anyone questioning Joe and the Hoe of being ultra maga extremists. Yall glazed this mfer fo years talking about how sharp he was.

Here we are, the man behind the curtain has been exposed to the point it couldn't be denied any further.

Don't act like this was anything more than a circus that couldn't keep going on further after all the liberal lies and gas lighting over Bidet were exposed on the world stage

I think the debate put doubts about Biden front and center. I mean, we could just say “fuck off, we don’t care” like the Right does when Trump cheats on his wife with a porn star, gets convicted of felonies, runs fake elector schemes, or siphons off political donations to pay his personal legal fees, or any number of things. They’ve made up their minds long ago that they DGAF what he does. Libs aren’t really wired that way though.

We’ll see. I mean, I’m not in denial about how things are at the moment, but people’s attention span lasts 5 seconds. There’s plenty of time to put together a good ticket, get some good policies out there, schedule debates and (hopefully) perform well.
Now, I don’t have a ton of faith in the Dems’ ability to do that correctly, they always seem to end up in shambles.

I get that there are a lot of logistics involved, money from donors...plenty of moving parts.

But your ticket is one I cannot vote for. I'm on the right, but I'd say somewhat center right and I could absolutely find myself voting for a ticket with Kelly at the top. But not one with Harris there and him as VP.

Now, how many out there are like me? Maybe not enough that would make a swap worth the risk. And maybe Kelly should be saved for a full campaign in 2028 (he's gonna be 64 then...not TOO old but not a young guy and the national vibe now of course is "stop running old white dudes").

We know what you're doing here, TS.
What am I doing ? I’m not trying to be cute, I’m being serious
Peolosi is not or hasn’t yet endorsed Harris
Neither has Obama
I think their only safe bet is to have a contested convention like 1952 and see who the best candidates are, not the dei plant
What the Dems are worried about is two fold. Maybe 3
Sexism and racism- they can kill the sexism accusation by picking Whitmer, she’s a big star in the den world
They can’t pick a white man over Harris (Newsome) the wheels would come off with the infighting and accusations of racism
They can’t pick JB. Pritzker for the same season
Pete is a dead duck because of being Ghey, like it or not
They have a serious problem but keeping Harris is a problem on several fronts
