Elections Kamala Harris for POTUS

NEVER FORGET… Kamala Harris Kept Black Men in Prison Past Their Release Date in California So She Could Milk Them for Cheap Labor

Kamala Harris kept hundreds of black men in prison past their release date so she could use these men for $2 a day for cheap California state labor.

That alone should have disqualified Kamala Harris from public office.
Extending prison sentences for cheap labor sounds like criminal activity.

Back in February 2019 Jackie Kucinich at The Daily Beast wrote about Kamala Harris’s Attorney General office keeping inmates locked up so the state could use them for cheap labor.

Just like slavers.

Kamala also locked up 1,500 people for marijuana violations.....
She did not....Yall literally gobble up everything that you see on twitter. Pretty gross comparison to slavery too. Yall really turn into blue hair SJWs when it comes to protecting the Trumpster.

"For context, marijuana sales and possession remained illegal under state law during Harris’ time as attorney general. California voters legalized recreational pot in 2016, the same year Harris was elected to the U.S. Senate and left her AG post.

Also, as attorney general, Harris would not have personally prosecuted marijuana cases. Those cases would have been handled by lower-level state attorneys"

I believe Trump sees Putin as his Bro.

I believe Putin sees Trump as a useful idiot.

And generally that's how Trump sees a lot of people close to him, useful idiots to backstab and dispose off when no longer useful.

There are China hawks in the Democratic Party but on the specific issue of protectionism I believe Trump popularized it.
Popularized? I dunno, maybe. I dug this up from the 2012 Democratic Platform:

“Both publicly and privately, the President has made clear to the Chinese government that it needs to take steps to appreciate its currency so that America is competing on a level playing field. This administration has doubled the rate of trade cases brought against China by the last administration, and created a new government-wide Interagency Trade Enforcement Center. The President is committed to continuing to fight unfair trade practices that disadvantage American producers and workers, including illegal subsidies, non-tariff barriers, and abuse of worker rights or environmental standards.“

There wasn’t just talk from random China hawks; this was right in the party platform back then.

I think Trump moved the needle on protectionism especially in regards to China but perhaps I am overestimating his influence.

I don’t dispute that he made it a big issue of his campaign. Sometimes I feel there’s a perception that the GOP is tough on China and Dems aren’t, or Dems downplay China, and I don’t think that’s the case.

Both are too weak on China IMO

Maybe. It’s hard to be tough without hurting Americans. We aww that with Trump’s trade war.
Agreed. It’s on 90s trade greed which got us addicted to cheap Chinese labor. We need to bite the bullet, f their world up and give more to Mexico to offset. Temporary pain for long term prosperity.

Trump wasn't just anti-China, he was anti-trade in general, which contrasted big with Democrats who were pro-free and fair trade.

Also Trump tried to sell the idea that without international trade a lot of American high paying factory jobs would be "coming back".

I don't think Dems were protectionists, they just wanted China to abandon its mercantilist policies via pressure, which is why the TPP was so important, trying to force everyone around China to adopt US views on free trade.

Harris isn't kissing Bibi's ring today.

She is going to kiss it later in private.

The world, including China is already moving past "cheap chinese labor", China wants to enter the high value manufacturing market and shed the cheap sweatshop stigma and America and the West don't want to depend on China for critical stuff.

So i think its an issue that its solving itself on its own, as long as America and the West stands united in setting the rules.

Biden does have some protectionist tendencies which seem to be to appeal to certain kinds of voters but of course I agree Trump's protectionism is much more expansive and disastrous.

Diversity, equity and inclusion. It's basically just racism and discrimination in reverse.

Kamala didn't get the VP nod because she won any sort of popularity contest. She was just chosen out of the blue by Biden because she was a black female.
Why did Vance, who is much less qualified than Harris, get the nomination? And why are none of the people using dogwhistles like DEI about Harris not upset about someone so unqualified being chosen (especially given that Trump would be the oldest and unhealthiest president ever)?

They may be trying but if we speed it up, it will hurt them. They have shit high end manufacturing.

I don't see it, Biden has been quite fair when it comes to trade.

But then again it could be a different definition of "protectionism", to me protectionism is when there is an unwarranted intervention in trade based on domestic political issues.

Yeah, i don't see China overtaking America anytime soon.

I was just pointing out that Chinese cheap labor isn't as cheap anymore and Xi's stopped caring about subsidizing cheap industries in favor of trying to subsidize high end manufacturing industries.

Trump supporters are attacking Taylor Swift trying to connect VP Harris to Taylor. Even Fox is laughing at what he is regurgitating.

In the two days since Biden dropped out, Vote.org saw its highest levels of new voter registrations of the whole cycle: 38,500 people signed up, a 700 percent spike and higher even than when TAYLOR SWIFT made an Instagram post. Most were 34 and under. There are also “additional persuadable voters” whom the campaign intends to target: “About 7% of voters remain undecided in this race, and these voters are disproportionately Black, Latino, and under 30. They are more likely to have supported the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020, and are two times more likely to be Democrats than Republicans.”As for the map: “We continue to focus on the Blue Wall states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania — and the Sun Belt states of North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada, where the Vice President’s advantages with young voters, Black voters, and Latino voters will be important to our multiple pathways to 270 electoral votes.” Vote.org, the largest get-out-the-vote technology platform in the nation, hopes to register 8 million voters before November’s election and reports that 500,000 have already registered this cycle, including a record number of 18-year-old new voters.

Its smaller stuff like how the EV tax credits only apply to American made vehicles. Overall I think he's pro-free trade, just needs to make token nods to protectionism here and there.
