Elections Kamala Harris for POTUS

No argument from me. Putin and Xi are probably the closest thing the real world has to Bond Villains. And joking aside, I'm not happy about Trump's apparent bromance with them either. :(

I think it goes beyond bromance, there is absolutely nothing that he would lose politically by supporting Ukraine and American supremacy abroad.

I believe 100% he is compromised by Putin, while his Taiwan remark could be explained as "Asian 4 tigers and Japan steal manufacturing jobs from Murica" there is no reason why he should be opposed to America fucking up Russia.

What would be more real MAGA than fucking up Russia? that's the plot of Rocky IV and the best pro-wrestling moment in the 80s.

Yes, it can be argued that the Biden Administration could had done more about the border but its ridiculous to claim Kamala was the one directly in charge of it.

The border issue needs a bipartisan solution, but as long as its a contentious issue you can sure as hell bet nothing is going to be fixed, that's politics for you, you get rewarded for problems, not for problem fixing.

Biden delegated his responsibility to Kamala...

And she did exactly what she said wanted to do with the border... open it up

lol... you can stop with the gaslighting

This is why people don't want to vote Democrat anymore. Immutable characteristics are more important than being qualified to run the country.

Why are you surprised there's energy around the Kamala candidacy? The MSM is going to do whatever it takes to help the Dems win. Kamala is a puppet and all the other politicians who are now supporting her are puppets. It's no different than Republican politicians who shit on Trump and then all the sudden support him when it benefits them. None of these people give a shit about us. It's all about power and money.
I think it’s a bit of a lazy answer to just blame the media. I was a bit surprised at the energy from the crowd at Kamala’s speech in Milwaukee, especially compared to Biden’s speech in Madison just a couple of weeks ago. I don’t know if you’ve been to either city or not—both are liberal, but Madison might have the most granola-ass, far left, hippie-dippie, vegan-diet-eating yoga practitioners per capita in the known universe. And yet I didn’t see as much energy for Biden as Kamala seemed to get.

I also don’t buy this POV about Dems and immutable characteristics. The Republican Party loves immutable characteristics too—well, two of them in particular: being white and being male. We saw this in Trump’s cabinet, which was 88% white, and 62% male. Even in Congress, Dems are much more diverse than Republicans are. I am not saying this is true for you personally, but a lot of time conservatives claim that about us, or accuse us of “DEI Hires”— which, to be clear, is a really really gross and insulting thing to say—when the real issue is that the GOP has a big problem with racism, and I am not sure how they are going to deal with it.

How many years do you think it will take for us to not be so comfortable being openly racist and sexist? Simply accepting that's it's okay and "normal" to make strategic decisions based on immutable traits?

Serious question. I remember back in the 80's that whenever there was a black quarterback in the NFL, all anybody could talk about his race.... now you don't ever hear that brought up when a new quarterback enters the draft. That's progress.

When do you think that will be true of race and gender in politics?
I think that’s a good question and I don’t really know. I suspect it’s not mentioned in sports anymore because there’s no problem with representation anymore in sports. So i suspect the same will be true in politics—when minorities are no longer underrepresented, we won’t hear about it so much,

I do think the Republican Party is the main offender, and I believe there are two reasons why.

One is because of the Southern Strategy. Once Dems became the party of civil rights, the GOP courted the South, and all the votes from disenchanted racists. Fast forward to 2024, and those people are like an albatross around their neck. I’m sure some conservatives would like the racists to fuck off, but they know they can’t win an lectionary without them.

Two, in some ways it goes against the very point of conservatism: to conserve, to keep what they have (or regain what they feel they lost). There’s a very real feeling among a lot of conservatives that each time minorities gain some ground, they (the old guard of white male conservatives) are somehow losing ground.

He may not be a supervillain, but he seems to be such a cuck for real ones, like the one in my AV.

Xi also seems pretty happy about Trump's remarks that he won't help Taiwan in case of invasion.

I doubt Xi is happy. Wasn't Trump the one who started all the trade war stuff with China to begin with? Biden continued it but if it wasn't for Trump you could argue that Dems would have just continued to ignore China. Even now I still hear Trump talking shit about China. Taiwan is like a pride thing for China they would much rather have the US back off with all the hostility we are causing across the world for them.

Trump dipsh$ts have to do a 180 fast because they spent over a year and 30 million US dollars going after Biden only to see him step away from the spotlight. What to do what to do? I know lets spend many more millions try to trash Harris before the general election ha ha.

No, it began during Obama era, the TPP was also designed with blocking China in mind

Biden continued it but if it wasn't for Trump you could argue that Dems would have just continued to ignore China.
Except this is definitively not true.

China was getting hit with tariffs during the Obama era, dumping lawsuits and the Obama admin started blocking sales of companies to Chinese state owned companies.

Trump on the other hand not only scrapped the TPP, it also went into a trade war with the EU, Mexico and Canada because it was a low hanging fruit, despite the fact these countries are not doing America dirty.

Even now I still hear Trump talking shit about China. Taiwan is like a pride thing for China they would much rather have the US back off with all the hostility we are causing across the world for them.
He talks shit about China but he also talks shit about Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Europe, Mexico, Canada etc, etc.

I disagree. Disappointing, sure. Disgusting, sure. Nauseating, even. But surprising? N'unh. They all parked their backbones at the door the way back in 2016.
I agree, I was just mocking that dude that thought he was making a mind blowing inference about people backing candidates that they have were not keen on in the past.

Difference between characteristics you're born with and things you believe in. They were both picked to try and appeal to certain voters, but it's technically kinda different.

Although you could argue him being a white male played a role as well, but if they'd go with that strategy I'm not sure why Trump didn't just pick a white Christian woman.

Cause Trump hates women. Much like his supporters, he views them as lesser beings and/or sex objects.

Im sorry but can you actually make an argument or cite something besides twitter?

lol.... Ok tard. The twitter posts are referencing news articles and reports. You want to pull up those articles and new videos instead?

I know it sucks when someone backs up their argument instead shitting out garbage out of their ass like you're doing.

Pence was actually very qualified
In the end he stood up to his crooked boss who wanted to overturn the election so despite my deep disagreements with him on policy he has respect for our democratic norms and institutions and the character traits for the job, something the current GOP nominee lacks.

Again, I'm not arguing. I question the sanity and/or basic intelligence of anyone who doesn't believe that supporting Ukraine isn't in the West's best long term interests.

If by, "compromised" you mean Putin has dirt on Trump - that I would have to disagree with. If only because it's hard to imagine any kind of leaverage the FSB could have that is worse than what Trump has done already, without losing much support.

Turns out he wasn't bullshiting when he made the infamous Times Square shooting boast...
