I would love to know how Kamala supporters can justify this.
I'm serious when I say Kamala is still on the table for me to vote for her but when I see stuff like this, it's a hell no. Again, who determines what is "hate speech" and who determines what is "misinformation"? I legitimately don't understand how someone can make such an ignorant, naive and short sighted statement.
"Hate" speech is just speech that can be hateful. If I call you a fucking idiot, is that "hate speech"? How do you define it? What if I called Trump the same thing? Are we just not allowed to use emotion anymore? As for misinformation, MSBNC said that the COVID-19 vaccine prevented you from getting COVID and stopped the spread. Was that misinformation or just a mistake? What's the penalty? Do they get pulled from the air? Fined?
Let's say you do pass those laws. Well 4 years from now, what if a Republican gets in the office. Now they have control over those laws. Do you not think that they could use those against you? It's such an authoritarian and yes, Commie way of thinking that is just baffling to me.
How about we just all have free speech and we debate ideas. Is it really that hard?
I brought up this point a few weeks back over her VP Walz making a reference to "hate speech" as a deterrent to his voter protection initiatives in Minnesota? Completely asinine reference to a made up, pseudo-lingo or pseudo-jargon term such as "hate speech"
I asked those same questions you are asking and I got "oh that is just right wing propaganda taking his statement out of context" absolute nonsense replies or simply just deflections or even feigned ignorance on the topic.
Bottom line is, I don't trust the DNC or the RNC or any mofo politician in Washington (regardless of thier prestigious stature as my owner/dictators) to regulate what these psychobabble made up terms are such as "misinformation" or "hate speech"
I used specific, current examples such as Kyle Gass of Tenacious D making light of Trumps assassination by saying "Don't miss next time" in jest to a very large crowded arena (followed by enumerous jovial cries of laughter BTW)
- so is that not a perfect example of "Hate Speech?" who gets to be the arbiter of this nonsense?
Also made mention of MSDNC political hack and notorious spin doctor, Joy Reid, who was all over her Tick Tack social media crap making the case to her followers that she thinks the Trump assassination was a hoax in the days following. Would that not be a text book qualification for the term "misinformation?"

This whole debate over controlling speech is founded upon massive piles of horseshit. Anyone willing to cross that bridge and hand over the fate of honest hard working Americans to weak, corrupt politicians/puppets along with their state controlled media, on any side is mind numbingly stupid or completely unreliable, dangerous and even possibly diabolical.
