I think everyone agrees that Chandler looked great, where we differ in views is that I’ve always said Hooker is a guy whom the UFC kept around to break into the Australasian market, he was nothing more than a Tune Up for Chandler. He would’ve gotten lasered quicker if he came out aggressive.

I agree this is the most fair, especially given that Dustin has rebounded from his loss to Khabib and Do Bronx has been on a run.

Tony should've never taken the Justin fight, at least on such a short notice. His fearless mentality basically derailed his career.

He would've lost to Khabib as well IMO, but without all the brain damage and arguably with a better pay day. Also, your stock doesn't drop that dramatically after you lose to Khabib, everyone loses to him.

Seems clear cut to me.

But it's the UFC. Dana will do whatever it takes to make sure Conor vs. Dustin 3 is for the vacant belt and that's the issue in all of this.

no question the ufc did as they know stripping Khabib will remove any incentive to return and they also know not stripping him locks up the division. they chose Khabib and now everyone is fucked.

He's a good talker, he and Tony easily can hype that up. And ranking wise, common opponents, stages of their careers, and their pressure fighting style, it just makes a lot of sense and guaranteed an exciting scrap.
