Just watched McG vs Diaz...

I think Nate will win, like I thought Rockhold would win. Anything is possible this is MMA.

Yeah, MMA is CRAYZEY.

Why?

Part of his problem, much like other high profile fighters who have lost recently, was he believed his hype. He went into the bout thinking 'I'm going to KO him with one shot" when the truth is, virtually nobody KOs Nate Diaz with one punch.

With insight from experience, superior strategy in regards to keeping the fight standing, and the ability to pot shot Diaz from the outside, I think it's entirely within the realm of possibility that McGregor can outpoint Diaz.

I just think McG is not a outpoint kind of guy, but Diaz is. McG wins by KOs, not by judges. Yes, he can, I was drunk yesterday and made this thread, OF COURSE, it's MMA, things happen.

Just watched GSP vs Hughes, can't see how people think GSP is GOAT.

Yeah and ? I don't think this thread was about GSP.

Threads like this are so obnoxious. Also, the way Conor was striking in that fight isn't how he normally strikes. He fought like a heavy handed brawler. Usually he fights like a sharp technician. I think if he fights more like he did in the Holloway fight, & uses his kicks & movement & his cardio holds up he's more than capable of beating nate. Both Diaz bro's are very beatable. It just depends on if the guys facing them want to use the advantages the diaz bro's give them.
He fought the same way he always fights which is why he lost McGregor and his coach have already admitted this

A French Canadian not jumping at the opportunity to talk about GSP, but rather a fight that happened several months ago... what is this world coming to.

GSP is not my favorite fighter. I saw him a couple of times though, he's cool. He trains at my gym, Tristar, the fucker.

Nah, he looked way different against Holloway & poirier than he did Diaz. To deny that is to deny reality. I also call bullshit on him & his coach saying he fought like he always does. Got a link?

Conor outstruck Nate the first round. Why is it so far fetched for him to beat Nate? I mean Bisping is the fucking MW champ.
Conor landed a grand total of six strikes more than Diaz did. He won the round, but it's not like he beat his ass.

If Conor tries to fight the same way, he will lose. If he takes a step back and takes a different approach, he may still lose. I do think he's smart enough to learn that he can't beat Diaz by just swinging for the nosebleeds, but he's still a limited fighter who can't compete on the ground or clinch with Diaz, and isn't really that much better in terms of strict boxing, if at all.

I think your guy will never provide a link.

I don't think that the whole of the world's woes have been analysed as much as this..

Lol. How does Rory's nose look? Worse in person?

I,m not that much of a nose starring guy, but it is crooked. What surprised me about him is how big he is. You'd think 170 lbs is not that much, but he's massive ! He destroyed me in sparring, I'm 5''4 hahaha.

by not brawling like tank abbott with him. not throwing 75 power punches in the first round. out speed him, move around, kick his body and legs. its up to conor to implement it. the skill is there.

Conor has 0 chance. Anything can hapoen but not in this fight.
0% chance. Conor will probably tap after full camp Nate touches gloves.

I love that conor haters cling to the 6more strikes thing. It's a very simplistic view of things. Conor's punchers in the first round were a hell of a lot more damaging than Nate's pitter patter high volumes weak punches. Nate was getting tuned up.

"But but but 6 punches..." - yes because all punches are equal...

Easy, he was on rings the week of the fight ... This time he don't do the rings week before = victory.

You don't need excuses when your guy won ...
Also, yes we know, he was winning til he lost. We get it. Congrats.
