Just watched McG vs Diaz...

Just watched threads are great...

anyway- it is a hard matchup for him. I think he can get the W, but I am not sure his ego will allow him to do what would be necessary - i.e.: forget about forcing the KO, leg kick, stick and move, stay out of the pocket and don't trade, avoid the ground at pretty much all costs including pushing off and getting up even in top position. Point fight.

If Conor tries to KO Nate he is going to get beat and likely stopped again, and I don't see him winning without leaving his ego at the door, which could be a tall order.

McG fans think he's gonna win... I can't think of how. Tell me.

I just did the same, and while I originally thought like you, I'm now more open to the possibility that Conor might have a chance this time around. But, he'll have to finish Nate early, and the longer it goes, the more the fight moves in Nate's favor.

In the end, the key will be Conor's uppercuts and the spinning back kick. If he can damage the body early, he can get Nate to drop his hands, which will help him get inside and negate Nate's reach advantage.

I'm still favoring Nate in the rematch, but Conor has the tools to make it interesting.

So if Conor wins, will that be the birth of "No Ego Conor"? Not sure if "Sea Level Cain" thinks that's even possible ...

McGregor fans are fucking morons. That's your answer TS.

Well, you see TS, Conor knows he's fighting Nate this time so he'll be preparing for him. He also landed something like five more strikes in the first round so he totes dominated Diaz. All he has to do is develop the cardio to hang with Nate (in three months), the ground game to defend against Nate (in three months), and the boxing to outbox Nate (in three months). The good thing is, he landed a few solid punches on Nate the first fight and hit his arms a lot so that means he'll outstrike the fuck out of him in the rematch. He just has to fight efficiently and he'll toy with Nate in the rematch.

(Nevermind that Nate now has a full three months to prepare for Conor and that he was able to rock and put Conor away in less than two full rounds on 11 days notice with no sparring and very little training, while being out of shape. That doesn't count. The mistakes were Conor's--it's not like Nate is going to be MUCH better prepared and in MUCH better shape this time.)

The only way Conor wins (sort of) is if Diaz pisses dirty and it's overturned.

Threads like this are so obnoxious. Also, the way Conor was striking in that fight isn't how he normally strikes. He fought like a heavy handed brawler. Usually he fights like a sharp technician. I think if he fights more like he did in the Holloway fight, & uses his kicks & movement & his cardio holds up he's more than capable of beating nate. Both Diaz bro's are very beatable. It just depends on if the guys facing them want to use the advantages the diaz bro's give them.

what do you expect to happen? he outpoints diaz for 5 rounds? he gassed in like the second round - how much efficiency is going to get him to go for a whole 5 more rounds against a diaz brother who will be better prepared this time and admitted he couldnt pressure as much as he would normally? - i would say conor's chance is to actually get the ko

i guess you people dont realize that diaz might actually come better this time too

Just watched Bisping vs Rockhold 1...

Bisping fans think he's gonna win... I can't think of how. Tell me.
Not even bisbing fans thought he'd win, sadly.

My Breakfeast were too heavy, I ate 2 breakfeat but in the end it was a mistake........ I was inefficiant, he came off vacation, J'sais pas quoi dire de plus la, des excuse de marde

Just watched every fight ever. The losers of the initial fight occasionally won the rematches. Tell me how.

horrible comparison. Bisping lost over a year prior and had a nice win streak including beating goat Silva. If Conor won a few fights after Nate including beating a legend, it might be different, but he just lost to Nate in a fight where he had Nothing for Nate. This fight is practically round 3 of their fight.

Bisping being MW champ has absolutely nothing to do with Conor and Nate.

And he barely "outstruck" him.
Goes to show anything can happen in this sport. Clearly they aren't directly relatable.

Well in MMA anything can happen, as we have seen so many times. I got Diaz, but its true MMA is unpredictable

I wish to "who would win out of Floyd and Ronda" discussions were back.
