i dont think that strategy is as well thought out as you think - he landed great shots last time, a lot of straight punches, hooks , uppercuts etc - your characterization that he just threw wild haymakers is stupid - you could argue that he could tone down the kicks, but to conor's words, he gassed bc he hit air a lot, including with the punches - he doesnt have a reach advantage like at 145 - with more calculated output, nate will be able to pressure more
basically, i get your simplistic idea that he should be more efficient, you're repeating what his narrative - but his loss came for a lot of other factors that had more to do w nate's toughness and cardio - this isnt a fight that conor can just switch on and win w some adjustments - this is a really ahrd fight for him -
i still think his best chance is early ko like he tried for last time - he was landing a ton of really hard nice shots early
