Just had my first colonoscopy AMA

If the solution is jamming a camera into my butthole...

I'll take my chances with the problem please.

I don't like calling someone homophobic but I will just leave this out there. You are posting on the number 1 most active tranny forum on the internet and are avoidant of butt stuff.

Ok.

I am "avoidant of butt stuff"

That's an accurate statement.

If you get cancer up there you’ll be getting violated a hole* lot more than just a simple colonoscopy once every 10 years.

Life is full of calculated risks.
I like my odds.

What a strange world we live in that the choice of not shoving things in my butthole is somehow a controversial stance.

I get where you’re coming from and I waited for years to get mine but it really was no big deal. Colon cancer is common enough that it’s cheap insurance against a much bigger problem. But yes, the odds are still in your favor.

How did the golytely taste?

Colon cancer is on the rise big time. My wife knows two guys in their late 30s that just got diagnosed.

Thank the FDA for selling the people of the US out in order to ensure big profits for corporations. The food that is available to us is trash that's filled with insecticides, herbicides and is genetically modified so it can be drenched in poisonous chemicals.

There is no conclusive evidence that GMOs, use of pesticides/herbicides, etc increases risk for colorectal cancer. There are much more obvious risks such as smoking, obesity, excessive red meat and processed meat intake, lack of physical activity, general poor diet, etc.

Was there one or two hands on your shoulders during the procedure?

Is it black and white in your memory?

I had to get one two years ago. The prep sounds like it's going to be terrible, but honest to god I was laughing the first time my butthole turned into a faucet. The next four hours...less funny.

They didn't put me all the way under for it. I don't remember much, except that the transition from large to small intestine hurt like a bastard and I got pretty belligerent about it (pretty sure a lot of 'fuck' was slurred and aspersions cast upon parentage). I was told afterwards that next time I got one they'd be putting me all the way out. Whoops.

yes though they removed two small polyps, so waiting to hear on that
Good luck man. They found a couple for me too. Came back non-cancerous, but were of the type that could become cancerous so now I get to go back every five years even though I'm not even 40 yet. Hooray.

Yeah the polyps are removed when they are in there. They key is to get them early so they don't turn the region into Detroit.

Maybe there isn't conclusive evidence but I'm just going to go with common sense here instead of random studies that all say something different or wind up telling us the truth years after it's too late.

Lots of people are dying from colon cancer and they aren't fat and diabetic. Many of them are healthy people who do a lot of the right things and still wind up with it.
