Just got my Bas Rutten Cd's. . . . HOLY ****!!!

Bros i did the thaiboxing workout today for the 1st time, 2 min rounds for 30 mins. I did it barefoot in my living room on a tile floor, now my feet are covered in blisters :icon_cry2 it wasnt that bad though, i didnt get exhausted but it was a nice moderate workout. I was able to get maybe 70% of the combos. Very fun. ONce my blisters heal i will do 3 min rounds.
 
Maybe I'm being a little hard but work through the blisters.

I used to get them in hoops all the time. Wear shoes until you can do it barefooted.
 
i don the "all round fighting c/d " about 2 hours ago, it was the 1st time i had done the disc ( i done the boxing c/d and all round work out last week ) but this one i found the hardest especially " defence ,defence / defence 4 -3...... god baz i wish i had never come across you lol
 
Just finished the muaythai workout, it so tiring its unbelievable, the words "4 Left Hook Right Straight" will haunt my dreams forevermore lol
 
Gotta love the mutiple combos. Two and the three and the four! 10 right straights!
 
my blisters are healing, but now i have DOMS in my shoulders, lats and the muscle in between my shoulders, oh and also my hip flexors form the knees. Very nice. Can't wait to do it again :D
 
I have heard clips of the Bas cd's. My question is when he calls out 4, 4, 1. What do these numbers signify? Thanks.

Those are combos.

For boxing, a 4 is a left straight, right straight, left hook, right straight.

A 1 is the first move in that combo, a 2 is the first 2, and so on.

So... 4, 4, 1 would be: left straight, right straight, left hook, right straight, left straight, right straight, left hook, right straight, left straight.

...at least for the boxing cd.

As far as doing the other workouts while shadowboxing I think the all around fighting is the toughest but I get my best workout doing the thai boxing disc with thai pads, that workout is just brutal for me.
 
I just did 3 min rounds of thai boxing. Much tougher than 2 min rounds, i was gassing and my hands and legs were jello by the last couple of rounds. Was really hard to keep good form. This time i wore shoes so no blisters, and i also moved around alot. I think it would be very advantageous to use a bag or BOB with this, its hard to go 100% otherwise, cuz i cant tell if im going 100% by punching air.

I just go them last week. I got 2 workouts in over the weekend on the heavybag and 1 on the thai pads. Obviously I'm a bit out on the cardio so the first heavybag was only 5 rounds the second was 7 and 10 rounds on the thai pads. I've been on the road for 3 days and shadow boxing in my hotel room was lacking something. So I laid some Prodigy tracks over the Bas Thai workout and man that rocks. Can't wait to lay some tracks on the other 2 workouts! 2 words Butt Kicker!

used to do them in my MA class. everyone would look at each other and say "son of a bitch" cause they kill. but i love bas and his workouts. just depended what kind of mood the instructor was in. if we were being lazy then we would do bas workouts for the rest of class. i liked them so much i bought them myself!
 
couldent sleep this morning so at 3am i bang on the all round fighting disc , and done 10 x 2 mins god it felt strange doing it on a easter monday morning. when most of my mates will all be still on the piss or in the gutter. BAS I LOVE YOU MAN
 
Just done the thai 3 min workout, finished it but was sweating like a pig.Just with gloves on and shadow boxing but that is gonna kill with a bag to pound on.
 
after doing thai boxing 3min rounds 3 times, i decided to try the All around fighting 2min rounds... HOLY SHIT! That shit was tough! took me a while to adjust my breathing but i managed to do it and lasted thru the whole work out. Defense!... Defense!... Defense!... Defense and a 3, Defense and a 4... omg ill be hearing that in my nightmares. My arms were jello i was throwing very slow, i definetly need more cardio. Also getting major DOMS in my obliques & hip flexors THANKS BAS!
 
Three minute rounds if you haven't trained for a while absolutely kill. I dread Bas saying 'Defence and 4'
