Just got done watching it, it was alright, the filmmakers get an E for effort because they really did try to bring back the magic and wonderment of the first movie but thats impossible after we've already seen it 7 times now and you are never gonna get the same emotional connection from CGI that you will with practical effects and animatronics

The actors were all okay but there really wasnt one single person that was likable, I didnt even care if the little kids died and I definitely wanted that loser ass boyfriend to catch a spearfish through the eye

Some of the dinosaurs looked cool and the boat chase to the island was fast paced and wild and Scarlett Johansson was fine as fuck as usual but honestly this felt like a SyFy/Asylum knockoff of the original Jurassic Park, just with a huge budget and top notch production values

4 Thumbs Up Outta 7

Oh, one more thing, that teaser for The Odyssey that is playing exclusively right before this movie looked prettay cool and interesting

I'm not a Christopher Nolan guy but this one is being filmed 100% in Imax and I bet it is gonna look so gorgeous with all that amazing countryside and battle scenes

I hope he goes All In on making a modern day version of the classic old timey historical epics from Hollywood's Golden Age

Reminds me of this slop, only worse. At least Jaws the Revenge had an original cast member and Michael Caine.

Just watched it with my kid. It was way better than the previous abomination that was Dominion.

For former MARSOC operators they showed up woefully unprepared for Dino’s. No one even had a sidearm..

All told it was entertaining but had some definite plot stupidity.

I just saw it today. I could pick it apart but on an enjoyment level, probably the best since Jurassic Park.

Also, unlike Jurassic World original, I didn't want to punch the youngest child constantly. So probably better to rewatch.

Maybe another day I would've vibed better with it, but 40 min. in, it seemed very long winded & I never quite connected through the rest of the movie, though I enjoyed teh Jurassic graphics.

I'm sure it has a lot to do with over-saturation of these monsters, but it all just fell flat for me.

They obviously drew a lot from Aliens and there was no or almost no romance. Leaving aside political factors it was fine. Not very original, but enjoyable. The Xavier redemption arc was something a bit different to keep us on our toes. Involving more flying and aquatic dinosaurs also helped to keep things somewhat fresh. I thought maybe the ancient ruins would play a bigger part in the plot. The suspense of the dinosaurs being hidden by smoke, or asleep, or looking the other way was cool. 6½/10

I liked the first one when it came out. I was a kid I think. I haven't seen any of the others.
