I was actually really looking forward to seeing Laura Dern and Benicio del Toro in a star wars movie. Shame they gave them some of the worst characters in the franchise. It makes me sad that a lot of people now seem to mostly know Dern as the purple haired lady. Oh well, good for them for getting probably the biggest paychecks of their career.

Wish they would just stop with these movies. They are just rebooting Jurassic park at this point with nothing new. First one is an exact copy of 1, the second is an exact copy of 2. They make very little changes.

The only great movie is 1. The only decent movie is 2. The rest are pure trash (and I mean pure trash) that get worse and worse as they go. (Though I suppose JW2 isn't as outright shit as JW1 - still not good though)

I actually love the Spino. That thing was truly badass. I just wish the movie was better. Nearly everything on the island looks like it was shot on a sound stage.

As for JW's whole retarded bit about "We need something scarier and with more teeth"...... hello, did they forget about the badass Spino?!?! In a fight my money is on the Spino. Spino > Indumbass Rex. (Holy hell is JW shit)

I've never liked The Lost World.....until I watched it the very last time. It was my first time seeing it in about 10 years, and for the first time ever I actually came away from it like "Wow, I actually kinda liked it." Was shocked.

2 would be decent without the annoying daughter and especially the gynamstics scene.

Watched Jurassic Park Camp Cretaceous this weekend with my kiddo. He absolutely loved it.

Dinosaurs actually ate some people, some good scary moments for kids, and overall some throw backs to the original.

Can't wait till he's old enough to watch the first one. He's only a couple months shy of 5.

It is pretty hard to make sequels when they are standalone movies. T2 is the exception in being a superb movie and better than the original with the original itself being a fantastic movie.

Colin Trevorrow Returning to Co-Write and Direct JURASSIC WORLD 3

Colin Trevorrow is returning to direct Jurassic World 3. He is currently working with Pacific Rim: Uprising scribe Emily Carmichael on the script for the feature, which was announced last month by Universal and given a June 11, 2021 release.

Trevorrow and Carmichael will exec produce, along with franchise patriarch Steven Spielberg. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are returning as producers.

Trevorrow was first tapped by Spielberg to direct the first installment in the rebooted franchise that hit theaters in 2015, going on to gross $1.6 billion at the global box office.

The Jurassic World sequel, Fallen Kingdom, hits theaters on June 22. Trevorrow, along with Spielberg, is exec producing the feature from director J.A. Bayona.

This is the first blockbuster Trevorrow has booked following his exit from Star Wars: Episode IX last year (Directing duties have since been handed over to Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams).

I've definitely thought the same exact thing. That should have been the big final fight at the climax. And it should have been longer, more intense, more brutal, and maybe even a little more heartwrenching. The way they did it made it essentially a quick throwaway scene for nothing.

Imagine if they used the whole movie to build up to it. A badass T-Rex on one side of the island. A badass Spino on the other. And somehow the characters lead the big dinos to eachother for the big final battle.

I agree. The daughter thing didn't make sense, for a number of reasons. She was annoying, the gymnastics scene was retarded, and honestly, Spielberg was just trying to be edgy before it was the "in" thing to do.

The girlfriend was terrible too, and not hot at all. Should have went with a different actress on both counts and scrapped the twirly bar raptor scene altogether.

The Lost World is definitely not great, but it's got its moments. At least that I've come to appreciate finally.
