Junior dos Santos say Ngannou doesn't know how to Box

If Jake Paul can beat Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz than my boy Francis can beat Tyson. Yall can try and logic your way through this but I have belief. I put my life savings on this ($100).
Well Anderson and Nate had better hands than Francis and lost to a YouTuber who's been training boxing full time for a few years. Imagine what someone who has more boxing training than that will do to Francis.

Facts
Francis is better off boxing Fury rather than fighting Jones in MMA though
AT least when he gets destroyed by Fury he can just say well he's not a boxer. Jones destroying Francis would hurt his legacy more and would be more life altering damage

I'm not huge on professional boxing, so I won't lay claim on being an expert in the field, but I'm pretty sure that I've watched enough to confidently say that Wilder doesn't know how to box either.

I know that he's an olympic boxer, but tbh it's HW. A good eye, handspeed, chin and power behind the punch are basically enough to compete at championship level.
Some of those things you can learn, other's you can't. Considering Francis' track record of beating respectable strikers like Reem, Rozenstruik and Stipe even if it's just MMA at the very least verifies good eyes, chin and power.

Wether or not his handspeed will hold up to professional boxing levels I couldn't tell, but frankly seeing Wilder compete I don't think it's unreasonable to think Francis won't do much worse. Wilder was literally throwing standing hammerfists from both sides in a professional boxing championship having faced the exact same opponent two times before.

Considering one of Fury's biggest assets is his clinch work and Francis has actual wrestling experience not unthinkable that he can defend himself a little better than Wilder there.
Probably not gonna win this, but I'm not confidently calling this a mismatch until I've seen it.

Says the guy who threw this:

It’s like someone totaled their car on a straight road in broad daylight and goes around telling people they don’t know how to drive
Yea, exactly

Threw a crazy looping overhand right that left him off balance, and got countered beautifully by Ngannou who is clearly the better boxer of the 2

Doesn't mean Ngannou has a change against Fury... but he's definitely better than JDS

Was watching an interview with Butterbean about his fight at Wrestlemania with Bart Gunn. He said that when he went in, he was kinda worried, bc Gunn was a brawler who threw powerful shots from weird angles. But the WWF had pushed Gunn into boxing for real, and he took it seriously. When Butterbean noticed Gunn was there to box, he wasn't nervous anymore and literally murdered Bart Gunn's career (RIP).

He said that if he'd have just done what he did to all of the other wrestlers he'd fought in the Brawl 4 All, that it would have at least been 50/50, bc he wasn't sure he'd be able to withstand it if Gunn landed, and Gunn might have, except he wanted to play Butterbean's own game, and was a beginner.

If Frank shows up to box, he's going down. If he shows up to do what he does, he has a chance. He shouldn't play Fury's game, he should do his best to make it wild. Unfortunately, he will probably box, and it will probably be boring.

You’re not wrong but you’re pretty much asking Ngannou to believe that boxing isn’t real

What the hell is this well balanced snd thought out post?

I thought this was Sherdog!

If Fury clinches I hope Frank takes him to helicopter ride and slams his ass to the canvas like he did Gane. Would make the fight tad much better.

The issue is Wilder has almost 50 pro boxing fights vs Francis's debut. Wilder is not known for being technical but he made it his career using that meta against people that can box. This is Francis's first time up and he is against one of the guys that can make the list of top 15 best HWs. You can argue Fury's resume isn't great but in terms of a head to head fight he is probably top 10 in terms of skill. Fury doesn't look aesthetic but he is actually the younger fighter. This fight isn't going to be easy for Francis. He is going to need many things to go right for him in this fight.

Fury is like a 15 to 1 fav, putting 5 bucks on Big Frank, a punchers chance is a punchers chance.

JDS reminds me of Frank Grimes on the Simpsons.

He has been trashing Ngannou's striking for years (and rightfully so), saying there is no technique, etc.

Then he went in and fought him, and the same thing happened to him as had happened to every other Ngannou opponent - he was KOed within a minute and a half by a showing of somewhat unorthodox technique and extreme power.

Then after their fight he has continued to rubbish Ngannou, all the while his own plight saw him fall so low that he was cut from the UFC, and managed to extend his KO losing streak to 5 after falling to perennial tomato can, Yorgan De Castro.

Francis meanwhile, rose to the top of the heap, whilst continuing to display his patented inadequate technique, almost flaunting the rules of MMA physics to purest like JDS.

To be fair, his shoulder popped out during that Yordan fight, it wasn't a KO.

Again, I'm by no means thinking that Francis will wins this with or without ease.
Maybe I'm still a bit scarred from the Izzy vs Strickland fight.
It just feels like people are going a little overboard in just how slim Francis chances are.
There are a lot of questions to be answered. I think your last sentence is pretty much in line with my thoughts.
If Francis passes some of the questions, this fight can be roughly competitive for a while.

I honestly don't think, based on his last performance (fight against Ciryl Gane), that he would have much success in Boxing. In addition to his technique being somewhat limited in the way he moves, Boxing is not just about punching. It's movement, how you stand and how you walk. Tyson Fury is a gigantic man who moves very well. We saw in (Francis Ngannou's) last fight that he would have lost to Gane if he had stayed standing, so he was smart enough to decide to show his ground game”, said Junior dos Santos.

Francis Ngannou with Tyson Fury will be interesting, of course. Obviously, I don't see many chances for him. In my opinion, he doesn't have boxing, he has power, strength... The blows come out unexpectedly, from all sides so you don't know where to expect them. He has a big wingspan, a lot of strength, a lot of knockout power. That makes a big difference, but I don’t see much of the quality of Boxing,” declared Júnior dos Santos.

This is going to look like a Sprinter trying to beat the world’s best Marathon runner in… A Marathon.
Sure, the Sprinter knows how to run and may seem like a lock for the first 100m, but is wholly outmatched in the arena they’re competing in and will be exposed.
