Junior Dos Santos' big wins

One of my fav fighters of all time and IMO a top 5 all time HW.

I’ve always liked JDS (and disliked the “fake mexican” Cain).

Having said that, the Cain performances in their second and third fight were a thing of beauty.

Biggest win was upgrading his wife

his wins over Lewis, Tuivasa and Rothwell are also good, probably better than Yvel.

Yeah it's unverifiable for you new fans and "TUF noobie" Fedor stans. Cain was easily the best HW ever with the possible exception of Ubereem.
Ubereem lol
What if we give the same sauce to stipe, dc, cain and nganou. Would ubereem still best them? Yea no.
And ubereem lost to prime big foot

I cant remember a better run at HW in all of UFC history

JDS is an all-time great but people are so invested in Fedor's (undeniable) greatness that Cain annihilating prime JDS twice means that we have to dismiss him.

Healthy Cain is the best ever HW, btw.

"Healthy Cain" is a myth just like "Cain is the best HW ever."

Tired of hearing how good Cain COULD HAVE been, rather than what he actually did in the ring. Reality is he had 17 pro fights and Dos Santos and Big Foot were 5 of those fights. There's no way you can compare his record to JDS', Stipe, Werdum, or Fedor's. Styles make fights and JDS was just a good matchup for Cain.

JDS Record
Werdum
Struve
Cro Cop
Yvel
Gonzaga
Nelson
Carwin
Velasquez
Mir
Hunt
Miocic
Rothwell
Ivanov
Tuivasa
Lewis

Werdum Record
Overeem
Alexander Emelianenko
Gonzaga
Vera
Silva
Fedor
Nelson
Russow
Nogueira
Browne x2
Hunt
Velasquez
Harris
Tybura
Gustafsson

Miocic Record
Del Rosario
Nelson
Gonzaga
Maldonado
Hunt
Arlovski
Werdum
Overeem
JDS
Ngannou
Cormier x2

Cain Record
Kongo
Rothwell
Nogueira
Lesnar
Silva x2
JDS x2
Browne

Just based off resume, Fedor would probably be 1, JDS 2, Werdum 3, Stipe 4, Ngannou 5, Cain 6. Hell, you could make an argument that JDS is the best HW of all time based off him beating the most former UFC title/interim holders (Werdum, Stipe, Mir, Velasquez, Carwin).

Ubereem lol

Others hypothetically fighting with the same stuff Ubereem was on is irrelevant to my point. And, no, Bigfoot didn't fight Ubereem. Alistair was supposed to fight JDS for the title and then he failed a drug test. Then he came back after a year looking fluffier. He was still on something because he was bigger than he'd be in subsequent years but that wasn't Ubereem.

stipe won that fight it was a terrible decision

You don't know what you're talking about. It was a close fight and the decision absolutely was not a terrible one.

I am not claiming that Cain was the greatest HW ever based on resume. Based on the eye test, when he was at his peak, I think that was the best HW I ever watched and I would favour him against anybody in a head-to-head.

His streak is very impressive but some forgot how he won those fights

Straight up ko or two.. though he didn't finish Carwin or Roy.. he did turn Carwin's face into hamburger meat and he even dropped Roy

Give the same sauce to those fighters I mentioned and they would flatline any kind of Reem into oblivion.

We all know how ineffective he is without the sauce
Just look at most top fighters without Ped.

Cain is overrated imo. He struggled vs kongo and a few others. He has nothing for werdum who imo is the bets heavyweight. Stipe beat werdum when doom was 39 or 40 and fought like an idiot.

Ngannou would smash him even at his best imo. Even DC who himself is a Greta fighter would beat Cain. Better chin, equally good wrestling etc.
Lmao he didn't "struggle" with Kongo. He beat the shit out of him minus like two good punches Kongo landed.

Cain Velasquez
Fabricio Werdum
Stipe Miocic
Cro Cop
Shane Carwin
Mark Hunt
Gabriel Gonzaga
Frank Mir
Gilbert Yvel (not a great win but JDS stood with him like a man and put him down like a sack of shit)
But based on his wins he is one of the best heavyweights ever.

Thats what we call a "Who's who" of relevant wins at the time. Dude absolutely cut through the division when it was at it best. Pull up a highlight real of how he won each of these fights and youll find yourself looking at the hottest HW streak and one of the best heavyweights ever. Modern HW is a mockery compared to those days. JDS also had one of the most iconic moments in UFC history walking out to the rocky theme song on the first ever UFC on FOX only to win in 64 secs (via equilibrium imbalancing). I spent 11 years believing that was the only real life Rocky moment id ever seen and then, sometime last summer, I saw Rocky 2 in real life when Leon shattered odds and expectations.

I say all this to say that Colby may get the fight but he doesnt stand a fucking chance.

Cain Velasquez
Fabricio Werdum
Stipe Miocic
Cro Cop
Shane Carwin
Mark Hunt
Gabriel Gonzaga
Frank Mir
Gilbert Yvel (not a great win but JDS stood with him like a man and put him down like a sack of shit)

Cro Cop doesn't count because he was done already
Shane Carwin was off cycle and looked weak and puny
Gonzaga is a fucking bum. Seriously, look at his record, he's only known because of a lucky kick against zombie Mirko.
Frank Mir record from his JDS fight is 3-8. It speaks for itself.
Cain Velasquez was a fluke as showed by their next two fights, where Cain outclassed him.
Mark Hunt was funny to watch but he already had a losing streak of 6 fights way before having fought JDS and his final record is 13-14. It's not like it's this huge accomplishment winning against him.

Werdum and Stipe are great wins, althought Stipe won the rematch, but great wins, nonetheless. I think the win against Stipe was a close decision, tho.
I don't like JDS by the way, just saying. Never bought his good guy persona.

yeah just look at JDS after he started deflating

Yea, me too, sans peak hypotetical Jones and peak Ngannou.

Fedor at 1 lol

Stipe's last EIGHT fights have featured the worlds two best HWs.

Fedor has at most 3 such fights in his career.

And no, Healrhy Cain was not a myth. The guy had documented MAJOR surgeries which caused FIVE YEARS of inactivity.
