It's still harder moving my chunky ass more than 225 lb rows lol 3 sets of those feels like 50 lat pulldowns. They are filled with blood and feel like wings.

65# warm ups. It takes so many squats and driving hips down to have any type of balance. Still can not quit falling forward with 115+ on bar in a full snatch with Megin lifts. Can pull the weight over head but soon as ass hits parallel my shoulders pull the weight forward. Long long road, but willing to travel.

Got it. You're definitely getting to good depth - your ankle ROM looks a lot better than mine. I haven't progressed much since my snatch thread a while back. I can do 65 lbs warm ups with clean form but the highest I can go is 85 lbs (half bw) and even with that I'm a little wobbly. And it takes me so many warm up sets to get loose enough for snatches that now I just do them after squats before bench or OHP. So my legs are already tired. Progress is slow and for now I'm only a novice snatch enthusiast.

But it sounds like we might be struggling with the same issue - maintaining balance in the receiving position. I feel like snatch balances are helping with that and I'm going to be adding these to my pre-snatch warm ups:

This right here is spot on. Enthusiast with slow progression is a great description. The hip drop to catch weight is completely new and it is taking my body forever to fight habit of using muscles to do everything.
I'm almost at the bar weight level of 95lb girls :D Best of luck in finding that groove that clicks when you hit it once.

My issue is a mental midget one. Should drop bar weight and quit ego throwing plates on it, start at step 1. But small man want big lift! Cross training with strongman / Oly / calisthenics means everything gets work, nothing gets focus. Get stronger - get heavier - lose flexibility. Start doing body weight - get flexible - lose strength . Small man can't accept that - goes back to strongman. Viscous cycle

Lol you and me both. I spent almost 6 months focusing on snatches to the point that I did just snatch, light C&J and constituent snatch warm ups like overhead squats and power snatches with no heavy squats, DL or bench. And I got weak as shit. Like I was getting bowled over in BJJ and I felt like my dick was getting smaller. Meanwhile my flexibility improved and my snatch max went from 65 lbs to... 85 lbs. WTF. Back to heavy squats and deads for me with snatches worked in as an accessory lift.
