Jump attacks can succeed because they're uncommon. The second they start becoming common at all they get timed and either ko'd out of the air cause you can easily track the trajectory they're on, or just catch them out of the air right into a free take down. Both are terrible trades to be making for a low % strike. Hence, why you don't see them often. They need to be a surprise. And most of them are too telegraphed. The flying knee is really the only quick and devestating enough one to be considered for regular use to be worth the risk.
I feel sorry for myself posting here but... I think the TS does not know much about any kind of physics. Wtf.
leaping attacks are basically the opposite of lame. They are enjoyed, and often requested.
also fuck lebron and howard. Who in the top 10 did they ever beat?
I dont give a fuck why they wont do it. If they dont have the urge to fight and follow it through, then I dont give a fuck what they could or couldnt do. Only the guys who get in there and compete actually matter. Any of these "well I woulda,if it paid more money" can fuck off. It's all about the guys who actually fight. Who have the balls. The better question is, why would they ever want to be a top 10 cage fighter when they can make hundred of millions not getting brain damage?

He'd miss the kick completleyNow imagine the kick comes from like 4 feet higher in the air.
Even if Paul stood still that shit would have missedHe doesn't have A-level athleticism like most basketball players. That knee should've been a double switch knee and hit with the left knee aimed at the head and not the body. You don't do jumping knees to aim to the body, and he started way too far back for a single jump knee.
Why would you need to jump 4 feet in the air to elbow someone standing???Jumping attacks are kind of lame as is. Flying knee is the exception.
Jump kicks, jump punches, and jump slams / throws are hardly ever used, they're just too slow, and fighters don't jump high enough (Jon Jones trying to dunk, for example. Bonus points for posting it below).
Now imagine, NBA caliber a level athletes like LeBron transition to the UFC. Jump kicks and punches are suddenly back in style.
Imagine LeBron or Dwight Howard jumping like 4 feet into the air and landing with a vicious elbow.
They could even jump so high that no fighters could reach them, making them near invincible if they kept spamming jump attacks.
I can't even imagine any counters to this. It's kind of insane. I mean, it requires a level height and athleticism, but it can be pulled off so that these fighters never lose, or even take a blow.
It would be an insta-win for the jump talent.
Thoughts ?
Lmaolebron would bruise his foot and get stretchered out of the octagon after missing his first jumping attack.
Jesus Christ what has this place become.
I wanna see more side head kicks, like that Gallagher kid got nailed with in Bellator. They’re definitely a viable weapon, and look sick af when they land.
He'd miss the kick completley
It is a matter of physics. If a guy is planted on the ground and counters a jumping attack, he will hit you way way way harder than you hit him

What’s really dirty, though, is a deep jumpkick followed by a sweep.
