Jumping attacks

If the jumping attack connects the force would be stronger because it's your force plus momentum, plus your bodyweight, plus the power from your strike that multiplies everything. If you are stationary it's only the momentum from them moving forward towards you that you can take advantage of, your stationary strike won't have the extra weight and momentum behind it that a proper jumping attack would.

Plus it's really hard to time and counter a real jumping attack that's done right. It's not worth the risk staying stationary trying to counter it. It's like staying still and trying to punch a defensive lineman running at your full force trying to tackle you. Even if you hit, the force would move you back easily. Especially if the jumping attack is a kick, there is no punch counter to that. That people that have got hit in the past have been due to sloppy superman punches, or jumping knees, that had bad timing due to being fatigued. Look at Yair, Zabit, Tenshin, no one is countering their jumping attacks - there is a reason why they don't.

I actually read all of this and I can conclude you’re a newbie to the sport. I’m actually basing my words on fights I have seen. You’re spewing hyperboles and your own “magic formula”, as if you reinvented the wheel (username checks out). Flying attacks happen all the time and they aren’t widely employed for a reason. They get countered.

Wrong, people just don't know how to do them. They don't learn them, they don't train them, and they don't use them. Watch Yair, Zabit, Tenshin then come back and say they don't work. Oh and watch Buckley's KO that everyone went crazy for, guess what? That's a jumping kick. Go look at all the jumping knee KOs, and superman punch KOs.

I'm sorry if your understanding of martial arts techniques is on a basic level. That is not my fault.

You should be a fighter or a coach, get in the game and teach all us idiots how it’s done

I do fight and I will coach/teach/develop my own style. It's all part of the plan.

A jumping punch.... While they are feet higher in the air? Think about it. An already tall NBA player jumping "4 feet into the air" to land an ELBOW? So the elbow is gonna be 10 feet high while the opponent is still 6' tall?

No.

They jump 10, 20 feet into the air, then drop down and slam the opponent with a crushing blow.

The opponent won't even be able to see them since there are typically bright lights that blind when you look straight up

I don’t even know what to say. I’m flabbergasted at how some of you guys come across. Like I can’t tell if you’re retarded or if you just have way to much time on your hands

Lol. Nah. Any decent fighter would just back up if they see someone jump up.
