Law Judge Hannah Dugan arrested by FBI for allegedly helping undocumented immigrant 'evade arrest'

We trusting the FBI this week, Seano?
Doesn't really matter if i trust them any more than when our roles were reversed a year ago.

I doubt there'll be any hard punishment, I think its more about setting a precedent. I could see her being disbarred, I guess, if the story making the rounds is accurate. You could argue she put public safety at risk, if a chase ensued over this.

Well now we can be certain that the incompetent Q-atard heading the agency is perfectly politically neutral. Totally just calling balls and strikes. Completely unlike every other head of the agency who were literally ALL Republicans

If she broke the law, she should pay. I am very skeptical considering the people behind the charges. We shall wait and see.

Perjury isnt this. And they're obligated to report crimes pursuant to the maintenance of fairness and integrity of the Court system. ICE staking out Court proceedings to detain individuals already in legal processing is definitely not what I'd think of as "fairness and integrity." But Judges have legal authority to conduct their own investigations. A Trump judge recently called bullsh*t on ICE deporting a 2 year-old US Citizen because they did it before the judge could verify their claim that that's what her Mother (who was the actual target) wanted, while denying her Father the ability to arrange to take custody of her.

The other judge has a case for rescinding that barring, which was made in reaction to the allegations against him and head-up by political opposition, if the details contained in his regulation letter hold true in Court.

Nah. My friend's mom (clerk) would say "don't tell me x, I'm supposed to report crimes that I know about".

Lawyers are routinely reprimanded for things not involving actual court cases. Court officers can lose their jobs over a dui, etc.

Your story has nothing to do with whether or not Court officers have different obligations than regular citizens.

The guy is legit insane. I'm getting the feeling him and Hegseth are not commanding respect in their respective depts. I know the DOD is in disarray. I would bet the FBI is a shitshow at this point.

You seem pretty sure she's being set up. You're chastising everyone here but just doing the same thing from the other side of the field.

February 25th:
The FBI is still as shit as it was yesterday, and I'll be glad to have a whole swath of Dems come to agree.

Are we there yet?

I can tell which way the wind is blowing. This administration has already shown itself to be lawless. Why should I trust this?

Again, you're just asking the same questions some of us were asking a year ago. Your investment in this is based on political bias, not that you care about this story.

I agree with you mostly, lets see how it pans out. You just think its going to go the other way.

What does watching an administration deny due process and a SCOTUS ruling have to do with bias? This administration is lawless. I don't trust them.

I like how you asked me a question, then immediately answered it yourself. Someday we'll all realize how we're all pawns in this game. Politicians have weaponized law enforcement. You were OK with it when it furthered your party's agenda.

From my possibly biased side, it looks like we're ACTUALLY enforcing the law now.

Perspective matters.

I like how "it depends" being a subtle admission that thos will require a judge who is an idealog, who is going to make a decision based largely on feelings and not on law.
