News Joshua vs Dubois September 21st

If Joshua beats Dubois like he's been doing, then i'm really not opposed to Usyk vs Joshua 3 if it comes to that. On the other hand, if Dubois beats Joshua then he absolutely deserves another crack at Usyk.

Good fight all around.

I agree with @treelo Dubois looks to have radically levelled up since being the guy who got battered by Joyce's jab.

Excellent performance and fun fight. I thought he was going to get stopped after the first or second round, but he hung in there and completely took over the fight.

Dubois is quite likeable too.

I'd love to watch him flatten Joshua.

i'd like to see him avoid Joshua TBH, i think Joshua just hits a little bit too hard for him and some of those right hands he was taking, he wouldnt take from Joshua, the guy is only 26, has been in with some very very good fighters already, he needs to be built up i think, i dont want to see him thrown to the wolves

You might be right. Logically Joshua should probably be the favourite. I do think a lot less of him than most of you though. I was one of the few people to pick Ruiz to beat him, and Usyk to beat him both times.

If nothing else, Joshua does have power yeah. As has been said in this thread though, Dubois's chin is actually OK, he can walk through hard single shots without too much problem.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Dubois beats him down and gets a stoppage.

It that happens Usyks career at HW will basically be fighting 3 people on a loop lol.

He’s talking about moving back down to CW after the 2nd fury fight. If he wins again there’s no challenge at this weight for him. Fury and Joshua are by far and away the best HWs of this era outside of usyk. And who really wants to see a rubber match where he’s already 2-0 up? At CW there’s Opetaia and he may even be able to tempt beterBiev up to CW?

Dubois has close to no chance against Joshua.

The biggest lesson we learned from Fury vs Usyk is that losing a decision to Usyk doesn’t mean you can’t steamroll the rest of the division. Joshua isn’t slipping by any mean, Usyk is just that good.

That CW talk is just stuff thrown around for making news articles, he isn't movind down, ever. He either retires after Fury rematch or continues to fight at HW. Opetaia vs Beterbiev winner is good but that fight itself is very far from happening. At Heavyweight there are very interesting match ups for Usyk still. Parker, Zhilei, Kabayel are all fresh intriguing match ups and Jalolov in 2025 could be. That's tougher than anything available below 200.

Just because Dubois was able to eat Hrgovic's straight right hands like skittles doesn't mean that he'll be able to take Joshua's. That's Joshua's signature punch and he has much more pop and better timing than Hrgovic.
