News Joshua vs Dubois September 21st

Fury AJ will happen no matter what.
Saudi money and its a fight everyone wants to see, 50-50 at this point. I actually favour AJ currently.

Have to see.

If Fury takes the Usyk rematch and loses again, good chance he retires.

Joshua/Wilder and Joshua/Fury are the perfect examples of needing to fight whilst the iron is hot.

Few years too late, and one is now irrelevant and the other massively diminished (though I’m sure it’d still do very well as a swan song).

i was really really impressed by Dubois last night, ive been a big doubter of his and thought he would quit again but it looks like he has changed his style somewhat lately, he seems to be concentrating on being a volume/pressure type fighter these days and its paying off big time for him

as Usyk has shown us, a lot of these big guys just cant fight at a pace for more than 5/6 rounds in a fight, so when they are being pressured they start to fall apart a bit, Dubois basically bullied the hell out of Miller and Hrgovic and looked like a big version of Holyfield at times, constantly moving forwards throwing shots and applying pressure, and he did it very very well

I dont know what has changed, but Dubios looks like he could be the future of the division, he is still only 26 years old and has a lot of experience under his belt

Also chinwise I think we were misled by the two times he got stopped. If you don't break his skull (Joyce) or overwhelm him with combos (Usyk) he can take one heavy punch at a time for many rounds. After the first round I thought Dubois's chin wouldn't take the punishment for long and it turned out it did.

agreed, he took some big shots in there that would have put a lot of fighters off, didnt deter him at all, fantastic showing from a fighter i had completely dismissed, love being proved wrong about someone and cant wait to see what he does next, i'd rather him fight Kabayel than Joshua though

lot of good fighters doing well now, Dubois, Parker, Zhang, Kabayel, Joshua, Usyk....healthy time in the big division

That's exactly how I felt, any minute now ... but it never came, and he's shown a great tank for a HW
Sheeraz/Eubank jr touted for the undercard of this.

Fury beats Usyk then they will have a 3rd fight, lots of money to be made from the Arab, AJ fights for the other belt or belts depending on what happens, AJ will not just wait on Fury, because Fury and Usyk will retire after their 3 wars, I just don't see an older Fury wanting to fight AJ, Fury doesn't even fight that much at all, and is lazy.

Usyk will retire also, he's not fighting AJ again. AJ will fight the young heavyweights coming up.

Yeah I was among those that were surprised Dubois was able to take so many hard right hands off of Hrgovic. He absorbed them all. Usyk managed to put him down twice when he pushed the pace and Joyce broke his face so we know that there are other ways to stop him. Pressure and volume being the most practical of ways.

If Wilder is smart he will call out Joshua for his last fight. The fear factor is now sufficiently diminished for Joshua to attempt to step in there, and power doesnt go away, I can see Wilder pulling off a KO still if he can regain that fire a bit.

Fury is looking increasingly fragile, and likewise has lost his mystique. I can see Usyk KOing him, then him taking the Joshua fight for final payout and getting KOd again.

Absolutely not. Wilder has maybe a 5% chance of beating AJ and that is being generous. His last 2 fights show how washed up he is. He is too afraid to throw that right hand and after being stopped again, he will be even more hesitant.

He should retire because he has nothing left.

I can't see any upside for Joshua to fight Wilder at this point......and Wilder looks totally shot.

Yeah, Fury's lifestyle might well have finally caught up to him. Likes of Joshua and Usyk seem far more disciplined between camps.

Last year Dubois was Usyk's WBA mandatory and just 8 months later he's mandatory again only it's with the IBF this time. He can't shake this guy.

He didn’t deserve to be wba mandatory tbh. He didn’t beat a contender to get to that position, he just stayed undefeated against weak opponents. At least this time he really has earned his shot beating a top ranked opponent. I think you’ll see the same guys at the top of rankings going forward as they are finally bring made to fight each other, as it should be

So AJ almost certainly wins, will he pick up the IBF mandatory and a 3rd fight with Usyk?

We don’t need to see that fight a 3rd time so I hope this is true, as they do look on another collision course at HW. Usyk vs Opetaia would be much better and fury vs Joshua is the fight fans want

Yeah he didn't but on paper he became a secondary titlist (WBA Regular) after Joyce beat him. This time he's definitely earned it. Hrgovic had some hype behind him and he was an undefeated Olympic medalist. I never rated him as high as some did but he's a legit contender.
