JonJones had his UFC debut 9th-August-2008 exactly 2 days ago it turned 16 years ago - Nobody is still in the UFC from the era when he became champion

Don't forget RDA. He also signed with the UFC in 2008.

Also i think Joe Lauzon is technically still signed and he joined the UFC in 2006. They would have to offer him an important legacy fight to get him back in the Octagon though.
 
Aldo, Olivera, Edson, RDA, Dustin was in WEC, etc. There's still guys doing what Jon is, except they're actually much more active. Jonny has been averaging under 1 fight a year for the past decade and only 1 in the last 5 years. With how little damage he's accumulates on top of the average age at HW being much higher, Jon could keep doing this for long while if he wanted.

He just isn't interested in losing the mystique he's held onto for all this time

There's no reality where anyone could seriously claim Jon wasn't good. Im certainly not a fan but he's undoubtedly one of the most gifted fighters ever.

Still lame to go out without unifying and instead fighting an old and inactive Stipe coming off a KO. I don't think anyone could argue that Jon going out by beating Tom would not be the most impressive way to retire
 
This is why Jones vs Stipe makes sense. Jones has actually been in MMA longer.

The same thing happened when Hendo was fighting Fedor is Fedor was the one out of prime.

None of the fighters from 2012 or 13 are active now except maybe 2-3. I think Jones retiring is the right call post the Stipe fight

I mean, he has denied it with that woman, but he has fully admitted to having violated women before.

And said he should have gone to prison because he had done much worse things.

It is enough people to believe in myths to elect a sitting president with questionable behavior. I can give Tyson the benefit of the doubt.

In regards to Trump, Mr. Trump’s attempt to minimize the sexual abuse finding as perhaps resting on nothing more than groping of Ms. Carroll’s breasts through her clothing as frivolous.

All that is being said is that the world is filled with questionable characters and the people who admire them, so it is par for the course. Even a sitting US senator in Senator Tommy Tuberville stated that the Trump verdict makes him want to vote for Trump twice.
