I thought with Poatan's loss the Jones dickriders would finally stop advocating for JJ to duck the #1 HW and duck the best possible UFC HW fight for the sport of MMA, but I guess not.
You're right Tom is running from Gane. Jones just defended his title 100 days agoDude, what the fuck is the point of having the belt if you won't defend it against the next contender.

Exactly, the interim champ is there for a reason.Dude, what the fuck is the point of having the belt if you won't defend it against the next contender.
Games turned down Aspinall about three times. You're right Tom is running from Gane. Jones just defended his title 100 days ago
I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm positive Jones would destroy Aspinall, and that same night Sherdog will be full of all the "knew it all along" and "never that good" excuses that always happen every time Jones beats someone. You know, "He had never been tested on his back," "His cardio was always suspect," "He was too green," "He had never beaten anyone good," and so on and so forth.
Jon/Tom not being a "big fight" is pure Jon nutrider BS. Its literally the biggest fight that could realistically be made in the UFC right now.
Agree tbh.Aspinal has mid striking he has power but his technique and head movement is a joke. He could literally get beat by many fighters. Prime DC would wreck him.
Why would the MMA GOAT Jones fight this upstart. I have zero hype when he fights.
Jones should go after the big fights or just retire
Most of the people hanging on Tom's nuts aren't Tom fans. They are Jon haters. Tom is just the next in a long line of "they will beat Jon Jones so we'll jump on the bandwagon."
32k posts and you think Gane would stand a chance against Tom? What is your IQ?You're right Tom is running from Gane. Jones just defended his title 100 days ago
Apiral WAS NOT the contender when Jones became champ and the Stipe fight was announced
Tom was ranked #7 after having just lost and getting taken out a stretcher by Curtis Blades

Pretty much.
Nah, there are plenty of us who'd like to see...you know...the interim champ and clear top contender by about a million miles fight the champion. Crazy thinking, right?
Of course but I think Jon should retire if he feels like it. Aspinal is not a super fight that Dana thinks everyone wants to see. I get he's promoting ,but I'm not impressed. We still haven't seen him on his back, how he does when it's not going his way, he'll we don't know if he can fight past 3 rounds...
Jones is right, there's always the next guy to beat him. Probably gets old after winning everytime and the naysayers are quiet lol
No offense, bad take. Now that Alex lost, it's literally THE biggest fight that can be made right now. The. Biggest. And yes, Jones name is responsible for most of that BUT don't be foolish and think you'd get the same buzz by matching up Jones with just anyone else.
This is a mistake too many hard-core fans make, they think there are only 2 types of fan: the absolute die hard Sherdog posting fan that watches every card including the prelims, or the ultra casual that can only name Conor and might watch one or two fights a year if their friends want to go to a bar that's showing them. The reality is there a bunch of levels in between those, and plenty of those people DO at least know OF Aspinall. Especially now that ESPN and other big media cover the sport and run articles that ask "Will Jones agree to fight Aspinall?"
Jones can think "there's always a next guy", that's fine. How about follow the money though. Name the last time Jones was a betting underdog in fight. Go ahead, take your time. Guess what? He's a small underdog to Aspinall as of now. Does that mean Tom for sure wins? Of course not. But it means people who's LIVELIHOODS rest on being right more than wrong don't see Aspinall as "just another guy for Jones to beat". And that's how they've capped every other one of his opponents since...forever.
