If Jones chooses to retire I respect that decision. What no one wants to see is Jon hold the belt hostage for 12 months, troll on social media, and force the UFC to strip him of the title.

At least GSP was honorable enough to vacate the 185 pound title within 30 days when he decided he would retire. I'll apologize to Jon Jones fans on these forums if Jon does the same, because I highly doubt he will do that.

Perhaps a fighter like DC who won the HW title shortly after could count.
