Jones' glaring weakness: boxing and punching power

That's absolute nonsense. He had a clean shot after stunning Stipe with an eye poke, and couldn't finish the job.

But for pom pom dancing cheerleaders like you, anything less than "Jones is the greatest gladiator in world history, and has zero flaws" is considered "hate".
It's not hate. It just kinda makes you look like you have no clue what you are taking about. Boxing is so much more than just hands

Thoughts? You are not very bright and you have way too much time on your hands to write that novel of a shit post.
Yet I'm superior to you in every way possible. Maybe you should go find a mirror and take a look at your butt fucking ugly face?...that should humble you some.

I think this Jones guy could be pretty good, but that punching power might limit his career. He should probably give up, he won’t get far.

He hits hard enough. He doesn't have knockout power with his hands. It doesn't mean he can't hurt someone.

Jones's boxing, which includes defense, has always been a rather extreme strength of his.

If I had any editing skill, I'd always planned on doing a video essay on how it's his biggest weakness and how no opponents have been able to exploit it because of the specific way that window of range works and how he keeps people out of it using his distance

To me, the short answer is, you don't force your boxing on him because he can control that distance by moving in OR out. You attack his distance management already on the outside in order to make him move in and force his boxing on you.

All fighters gave a hole in their game

The great ones just make-up for it with everything else they are good at

As phenomenal a fighter as Jones is, his boxing and power in his punches are by far his biggest weakness. Does anybody disagree?

If you look at all the ways he wins, it's almost never been due to powerful punches or quality boxing. If you recall, he got badly outboxed by Gus, could not get the takedown, and was only able to turn the fight around with a spinning back elbow. Against DC, it was a kick that got him the finish, and in the first fight it was takedowns. Against Stipe, a kick. Against most of his opponents, including Gane, he gets them down and either chokes them out or gets the GnP. He has exceptional reach so he can keep fighters at bay with half decent boxing, but they know he's no threat to them using his fists.

So I'm not suggesting he's not a great fighter and incredibly hard to beat, but is there any doubt that his boxing is bad and he has very little power in his punches? Even last night when Stipe seemed to have gotten poked in the eye and stood there stunned. Jones landed a clean punch right to the face and it wasn't a KO, nor did it lead to a finish immediately thereafter.

Thoughts?

First of all Jones is simply proof that boxing is not as important as boxing fans claim it is. It can be, but it doesn't have to be when you're extremely well rounded and have even better weapons like Jones has.

Secondly, Jon isn't as shit at boxing as most claim he is. In the first DC fight he worked the body a lot with left hooks and used straight punches throughout the fight. Against Glover he pretty much beat the man on the inside playing the uppercut game.

So just because he doesn't finish fights specifically with punches standing doesn't mean he has zero boxing. That's a flawed way of thinking.

Its not his style to punch hard. Hes a stick and move type of guy. There is one weakness I notice from him is that he leaves himself totally open when hes avoiding punches, hed eventually get clipped by a big KO artist doing that. Please work on that Jonny Jones

Lol.

Yet the man is damn near virtually undefeated. Doesn't look like his main weakness has stopped him from winning consistently.

Jon pot shots from distance and tries to avoid the mid-range, where his boxing technique is exploitable. Every fighter has weakness. A great fighter maximizes their strengths to overcome their weaknesses.

Gane was superior striker to Jon, in theory, ask Jon how he felt about Gane's arsenal or foot movement? I think having a gaping wrestling/or grappling hole is worse in MMA.

Khabib wasn't the best striker either. He had a good jab and was defensively sound on the feet. He stood long enough to feint, pressure, and find the TD.

While guys like Gane or MVP can lose to grapplers or even strikers who can grapple when need to, it's less likely that fighters like Jon gets starched on the feet. That's the difference.

Dude, you’ve cracked the code, hopefully he can figure out how to use his feet, elbows, and knees effectively or else he’ll find himself back on the regional scene.

Your trolling character is pretty comical on here, funny like a clown. Get back to your shift at McDonald’s and clean the shitter magat.
