Except it didn’t happen that way at all. Fedor first fought in the U.S. in 2006, and won that fight; fought in the US again in 2008 and won that fight; fought 2 more times in the US in 2009 and won those fights; it wasn’t until 2010 that he was beaten in the US.

Tbh, with people like Jones, Anderson, Werdum, and other guys that have PED failures, it’s pretty useless to talk about Father Time. Same with Hendo and TRT. It’s very difficult to judge the effects of time on people who take steroids to negate that exact thing.

I don't have a problem with anyone who thinks Jones would win or with anyone who thinks Fedor would win.This is supposed to be a hypothetical discourse about what would happen if Prime 2003-2005 Fedor met in the cage/ ring with a 2011- 2015 Jon Jones.

My problem is with the douchebags in this thread who claim Jones would beat Fedor 10/10 times based on how Fedor performed from 2011 or even more recently in 2023.

Obviously peak Jones would beat a past prime Strikeforce / Bellator Fedor because that version of Fedor had over 40 fights and was riddled with back and shoulder injuries and had multiple surgeries on his hands and had surgery on his knee after close to 100 fights between MMA and sambo.

This thread is about 27 year old Fedor vs 27 year old Jones and anyone who thinks this fight would be a walk in the park for either guy doesn't really understand the nuances of fighting, the details of different martial arts and the overall psychology of combat.

The truth is prime Fedor was better than anyone Jones has fought and the same thing can be said about Jones. Prime Jones would be the best fighter Fedor has ever fought.

With that said if prime juiced Jones had his hands full with someone like Gustaffson it's not absurd to assume he could have his hands full with prime Fedor as well. Fedor was much better than Gustaffson. Anyone who doesn't understand this is a straight up UFC fanboy shill.

It would be a highly competitive super fight. I have my own bias and would favor Fedor but I could understand if someone favored Jones. Just don't tell me Jones would win based on Fedors performances agaisnt Hendo and Bigfoot or Mitrione 6-10 years past his prime.

But certainly the TRT version of Hendo that Fedor fought was quite different than the version who went 2-6 off TRT, which is the version DC fought.

Well this was in reference to Dan Henderson knocking Fedor out. Neither of them participated in USADA testing and theres nothing to fail if there is no testing.
