Further, Shields was an absolute monster in his prime as well, and he’d give any current WW a good run for their money.

Even prime Fedor looked very beatable. Granted he still had an impressive run, however, the level of competition simply was not that good, regardless of what his cult followers will have you believe. He either fought cans, freakshows, or fighters who like him, were quite outdated and limited.

Fedor should get his flowers as a legendary pioneer of the sport, but branding him as the GOAT is an insult to logic and rationality.

Prime Fedor would still have better grappling, speed, and ko power than a majority of modern heavyweights but even in his prime Arona pretty much outgrappled and beat him but got robbed. Fedor grappling was good for hw but not the best and his striking was fast but always sloppy and technically limited. Prime Jones would destroy prime Fedor. Fedor's chin was never that great either and he relied on speed like Anderson.
