Dude, drom memory and without looking at FF i said, "...in the midst of LIKE a 1-8 run"
It was 1-6
His 6-2 run leading into Fedor fwatured MWs Babalu, Ninja, and the mirko fluke .and he was finushed in 2 of 3 prior to Fedor.
He waz 17-16 career and lost bt standing guillotine to Mirko lol
This is the man you're comparing to Bones.
And yes, using Randlemans creds as somehow indicative of what Fedor could do against Bones means you are directly comparing Randleman to Bones
And here comes more dishonesty…. Come on Martin, you can be honest if you try, i have faith in you. Regarding these wrestling credentials, I said:
If what you want is some sort of imagination and conjecture as to who would or wouldn’t outwrestle him in an imaginary fantasy fight, I don’t really see the point in that. Fedor has fought several guys with better wrestling credentials than Jones, and those guys—particularly Coleman and Randleman—used their wrestling very well in MMA. Fedor beat those guys, all 3 of the ones I named on the ground, in fact. That’s really all you can say.
My entire point about that dude’s “wrestling in an MMA setting” schtick is that it’s
NOT indicative of how a Jones-Fedor fight would go. The dude’s question was meaningless. If the question is, “Has Fedor ever fought anyone with better wrestling credentials?”—then the answer is yes. He beat those 3 fighters I named. He also lost to one: Dan Henderson. Actually, that jogs my memory because Hendo didn’t qualify for the Olympics because he was beaten by Matt Lindland. I didn’t list Lindland previously, but that would be another fighter with better wrestling credentials than Jones. Bader too, I suppose, but the Fedor-Bader fights were so past Fedor’s prime I don’t see how they’re relevant, really. Certainly not relevant to this thread topic.
—Anyway, none of that shit is indicative of how Fedor vs Jones would go, that’s my point.
Regarding this business of Randleman’s record at the time of the Fedor fight, what I’m criticizing is the dishonest spin you put on Randleman’s record. Bald Goof Dana loves to do the same thing regarding Hunt. Mark Hunt was 5-2 overall, 4-1 in his previous 5, consisting of a 4 fight win streak that included Wandy and Mirko, with a loss to Barnett in a title eliminator, going into the Fedor fight. Dana loves to say that Fedor “fought Hunt as part of a 6 fight losing streak,” because of the losses that came after, which is a super dishonest way to spin Hunt’s record.
I guess I should start saying Jones fought Lionheart “as part of” a 1-3 skid, or OSP as part of a 1-4 skid, Reyes as part of an 0-4 skid, Gustafsson as part of a 1-3 skid the first time and 0-4 skid the second time…

It’s just a dishonest way to manipulate a fighter’s record.
