Jones ain't gonna fight Aspinall

Jon has already fought everyone and paid his dues. He's been at the champ lvl for over 14 years. If he wants to take easy legacy building and money fights, he should. He deserves it.
Beating Aspinall does nothing for his brand. You all said Ciryl Gane was the guy to beat him. "He's too fast, he's a much better striker, Jones has trouble with guys like him". Look how that turned out.

Father time is undefeated. Let him fight who he wants.

So you agree then that he should vacate the belt to make space for Aspinall instead of making excuses?
 
He's already pulling the same schtick he did with Francis pricing himself out saying "he'll do it for fuck you money" then he'll claim he was willing to do it when they don't give him 30 million. It's always an angle with Jon constantly trying to control the narrative.

I understand people's emotions to Jones.
Be in his shoes right now, UFC has One or perhaps 2 huge fights able to book. Both involve Jones.
There is no limit, Brock forced them to raise the pay cieling...then Conor push it even further. MMA needs fighters to do this.
There is no rule that says "Oh UFC won't pay over 20mil a fight".
Especially the legends.

Nope, Jon is the champion and undefeated GOAT. Whatever he decides to do is up to him. He's currently fielding his options. He's the one that moves the needle, not Aspinall. He's only holding a belt because of Jon's inactivity.
 
For those who don't expect him to fight Tom what do you think the Tom meant after his meeting with Dana when he said "All success, Big news coming" pared with Hunter and Dana supposedly pointing at him around the time Jon was doing his post win speech.

imagine thinking a guy with zero title defenses. a guy whos only interim champ is comparable to jon jones. that is not the best vs the best. thats someone with potential vs the best . thats gifting an unearned opportunity to tom and a waste when it comes to the last fights of jons career. ill never say toms not good or that tom couldnt win. but i also will say i think a lot of hws have a shot to beat jon. its hw. hw power. jons not an idiot. he wants the fight to carry weight and add to his accolades if he wins because there is high risk involved fight any HW period. there is no ducking. there is a thought of what fight adds to his legacy the most and tom is nothing right now. he can be great but he is still sitting there with no title defenses. its a timing thing. unfortunate for tom. is what it is.
 
If they can agree on financial terms then Jon fights him. Jon is negotiating, you know where you throw out a large number and agree to meet somewhere in the middle. I think it happens.
 
Everyone acknowledges this, so I think it's about time to move on instead of fuming. Acceptance is the next step.
 
He retires imo. To Jones, money isn’t worth risking his 0 L record. And he knows damn well that it’s at huge risk fighting Tom.

He’s not getting the Pereira fight.

No one thought Gane was going to beat him. Gane lost to a 1 legged Francis.

Most of Jones big wins were against retiring LHW. His other wins were with heavy roiding, and eye pokes.

I never said any of that. The only thing I said is that Jon doesn't want to fight Aspinall which anyone who isn't guzzling buckets of Jon's loads can easily tell
