Elections Jon Stewart to return to ‘The Daily Show’ as a host and executive producer

Great take it was all about their age not about their plans.

 
I thought it was pretty good. I like how he pokes fun at both sides - anyone with a brain doesn't like to take in just pure propaganda. It's obvious which side he leans to, but at least he is realistic enough to see how both sides are bizarre.
 
Episode was alright. I watched the show in Middle school and high school. It’s been so long since I’ve seen the old episodes so it’s hard to compare to this most recent one.

At least he poked fun at both sides. The jokes weren’t anything special though.

It is funny because it still was anti-trump propaganda. Sure, concerns about Trump's age are legit, but because he ONLY focused on age, and has nothing to say about actual cognitive ability and stamina, it makes it seem as if their decline and thus concern are on the same level.

It is like being passive aggressive. Moreover, because of these headlines, some people are going to think Stewart is not a partisan hack in future episodes.

But yea, these headlines are funny

They always poked fun at both sides. But don't try to tell @Madmick they did that on this occasion. He's convinced the whole show was a partisan liberal attack on the right wing of America.

LOL! They are totally not on the same level. Trump was never as sharp as Biden is now, and Trump has declined really noticeably even from 2016, when he was already kind of out of it. He just said the other day that he thinks Democrats want to change the name of Pennsylvania!

If he really had an freaking clue he would have talked about Trump bragging about a NATO County begging him for protection. Seriously never happened even Rubio had to pull sh#t out of his ass to defend the comments.

Honestly if that not a sign of serious health issues an dementia I don't know? Other point missed he shows up before November elections right after almost to the day leaving when Trump first won The White House 9 years ago.

Now it is rumored he left the Apple TV show when he ask producers to shift towards more political stories. I am not sure where Jon sits an I want to hear from Steven Colbert an Jon Oliver. I think even Bill Maher left scratching his head over what he just watched.
 
Jon Stewart poked fun often at the left and liberal politicians on the Daily Show. this isn't anything new.

and is critique of both men (biden/Trump) was fair and funny.
 


How are liberals reacting to that first episode with more outrage than conservatives, LOL? Everything he said about Biden was as vanilla as can be. Michael Reagan recently wrote a wonderful open letter to Jill Biden about this. He shamed her for not doing what his own mother Nancy did, and that was to protect Ronald from the world's glaring eyes as he lived out his years deteriorating with Alzheimer's. It has become undeniably apparent over the course of his Presidency that the criticisms against Biden weren't just partisan hackery of well-edited video montages, but rather well-founded. He's a man clearly already suffering from dementia. I don't know if I'd even say they are what I'd describe as early stages.

Meanwhile, the only partisan hackery on display in that first episode is when Stewart tried to attribute the politicization of everything, specifically within the context of the NFL, to American conservatives. "It's almost like the Right's ridiculous obsession with politicizing every aspect of American life...ruins everything." LOL, what? I nearly spit my drink out. Are you fucking kidding me?

It wasn't an American conservative who refused to stand for the National Anthem. Conservatives aren't the ones who put Black Lives Matters slogans on uniforms. They didn't paint, "End Racism", with all that subtext, on the endzones. They didn't boycott and harass the Redskins into changing the name of their team.

Twenty years ago you would have recognized they weren't the side to blame, Jon. Shame on you.
