Jon Jones makes 5 million + a fight

Didn't think it was that much. Good for him. If he wants more well than he wants more and will see who's more willing to change their stance him or the UFC.

Over what I thought.

Him and many other athletes and celebrities.

Priorities are out of whack. you can live a life of the most extreme comfort and pleasures but it comes at a premium. the problem with jones I imagine, he probably wants to be like tyson. chilling with rappers and celebs, rolling with a deep crew of other famous people partying, slaying bitches, ect. but he got caught up in a family really early and can't run around and gallivant.

so he lashes out sometimes and gets caught trying to hide it from his wife and family / paparazi. harder to spot in a rented car, on his own no entourage, but it back fires because he fucks it up. im sure conor does stupid shit all the time like jon but doesn't get caught cause his family is with it and he has people around him to protect him.

Canelo Alvarez made more in 1 year than Jones has his entire career.

LOL.

I wonder how much is he asking for francis? 10? 15?

Thats chump change in the realm of professional athletes, especially considering he is one of the greatest fighters of all time. He has every right to ask for more money.

Thing is, he makes the money out of PPV, his purse has been the UFC standard $500k looks like, his deal is probably good, but its not 10-15million good, no idea if he asked for some crazy purse, it seems he isnt willing to take his usual deal for this fight.

He very likely makes close to $10,000,000 a fight. He said in an interview after the first DC fight he had cashed a check for $7,000,000.

The second Cormier fight did 7-8% better and he had an additional title defense by then.

He has 14 title defenses, and has probably maxed out on PPV points, so he wants more guaranteed money which the UFC is unwilling to provide.

It sounds like he is asking for $15,000,000-$25,000,000 and made $9,000,000-$10,000,000 for his last fight. It is understandable why the UFC would not want to increase that pay because fighters like John only continue to make more for every additional fight.

So if he became HW champion and is fighting a normal contender paying him $15,000,000-$20,000,000 when they can do similar numbers and pay Francs a third of that is better for their bottom line.

I doubt he makes that much without DC as his rival. All the ppv since then that he's headline have been in the middle of the road. DC was the most he's sold. Can't be making 7 million for santos if the most you sold was with dc.

fighters are not paid for their performance. Otherwise, going by that logic, Conor is the best fighter of all time because he sells more. Brock 3-5 is the best hw of all time because he sells more.

He deserves to be paid more, no doubt but under the current ufc pay structure, his asking price is capped because there is no union. If he thinks he can make khabib/conor money, he's kinda fooling himself. Even Izzy surpassed his sales. Twice already iirc and izzy hasn't even officially crossed over into mainstream yet.

Up for all the fanboys who say the 5 million number is bullshit. The pulsing goat said it himself
