Should his gun be confiscated?

Not to defend Jon in anyway, the DWI is a major fuck up on his part. But the fact that they recovered a Glock 44 is pretty telling that he wasn’t really doing anything nefarious with the gun. My guess is this charge gets dropped. You can look ok YouTube, Jon is a big time gun enthusiast, and actually knows guns and shooting. He’s got a ton of guns and trains regularly. He wouldn’t therefore be out riding around with a 22 Glock trying to murder someone. My guess is, since the Glock 44 is pretty fairly new to market having just come out this year, Jon probably just picked one up that day as a range toy, and being that 22 is fairly quiet, stupidly thought he could shoot a couple rounds off just to try it out and no one would notice.

Just like hes trained to drive a car and wouldn't drive drunk and hit a prego lady....

Urban legend. And that’s not even the reason why. A 9mm will do a lot more damage to the head. The myth is that they used 22 because it’s so common and therefore difficult to trace, and it was quiet. This myth was propagated by the movie Casino. And it’s been refuted by guys like Michael Franzese.
The mp5 is the official weapon of the SAS. It has more than enough stopping power in short and mid range distances.

Weren't zip guns aka Saturday night special aka homemade 1 shot guns (not shotgun) .22?

He needs to leave NM. You cant go around desk popping in society... stop.. if he was a responsible gun owner he'd no better. He'd also know to disclose to the police immediately that he has a loaded hand gun with in reach under his seat.. he knows what hes doing...everytime

I don’t disagree. He’s clearly a repetitive fuck up. Just trying to clarify he probably wasn’t out trying to do drive byes on homeless guys or some of the weird interpretations I’ve seen posted.

Right. And the MP5 is 9mm not 22.

Since people here seem to know about guns I got a question. I want to start hunting (deer, elk, moose) and learn about the right guns. Is an FNAR with a 308. any good for that?

Tbh I’d be more scared of his elbows than that glorified pea shooter
22lr is dangerous as fuck, especially solid nose 40grains. A cci mini mag is a 40 grain piece of copper jacketed lead moving at 1200-1400fs. 10s of thousands of people have been killed by 22lr.

Ofc it's not nearly as good as other typical handgun rounds but 10 rounds of 22lr with little to no recoil isn't something to underestimate.

Fun story. When I lived in PA a neighbor of mine had a home invasion while him and his wife were home. He had a marlin 795 22lr semi auto and 25 round mags. He instantly dumped a mag into the guy and hit 22 of 25 shots, guy dropped while running.

A .22 is not a BB gun. At close range, a .22 can do quite a bit of damage, especially to the head. The bullet generally doesn't leave the skull, so instead it bounces around, tearing up brain tissue.

The US military uses the M16 and M4 as the primary rifles, which are chambered in .223 (5.56mm) compared to the much larger 7.62x39 round used by the AK47 and its clones. The reason? The smaller round does more damage when it hits the body as it tears through organs.

A BB gun, though, basically won't even draw blood usually.

See the difference?
Pretty sure a lot of mafia hits have been done with a .22

Easily will kill

just getting ready for the apocalypse

Most underworld assassinations in my country have been executed using a .22 weapon. So .22 is not the joke that people think that it is. It can kill.
With that being said, what kind of a fucking pussy carries a .22 pistol? Be a man and go .45 ACP.
